By AMANDA BOYD ockin The Fields of Minnedosa kicked off its eighth annual music festival yesterday (Thursday, July 28th) with a full schedule of exceptional talent lighting up the second stage. Fun at the second stage is slated to continue throughout the weekend, with several regional bands looking to expand their fan base and rock out with the appreciative crowds that are always found at RFM. The main stage has returned to the concert bowl this year to the pleasure and excitement of organizers and guests. Bands on the main stage this weekend will include FUGR, Take With Audio, Prism, Fist, Jonas & The Massive Attraction, Big Sugar, Krome, Sass Jordan and Tom Cochrane. Audiences arent the only ones looking forward to a great weekend of music and friends. Several bands are returning for their second or more season at RFM and see it as a popular site to play. The concert in Minnedosa has always been very well run and the audiences are just so enthusiastic. Theyre very familiar with the bands, remarked Prism band member, Al Harlow. Its a summertime vibe with an outdoor stage, therere thousands of people, and everybodys singing along to every song. Whats not to like? Even the production; the stages and the sound and that natural concert bowl geography. The fields of Minnedosa are renowned; everybody across the country, you say Minnedosa, and they immediately know exactly what youre talking about. If you are headed out to rock in the fields of Minnedosa this weekend, please remember to drink responsibly, stay safe, and have a ROCKINGOOD TIME!
