1. What type of offensive tactic is being used by Shein?
For me I think there are 3 offensive tactic used. The frontal attack, flank attack and Encirclement attack why? In this case study, shein is a global online clothing which is similar to Zara and H&M which is the concept is selling clothing brand. Shein directly attack its competitors by distributing the same concept of business which is selling clothes. I also declare that flant attack was also used in this case study because rather than focusing on direct attack tactics, shein attacks it competitors by their weaknesses which is using other platforms tactics like using Tiktok, instagram and youtube. This platform is a big impact to the firms because advertising your product without consuming more money what I mean is using the ads from this social media platofrms can save you more money and more reliable. Instead of using big names like celebrities they used influencers which is more effective nowadays. Lastly encirclement attack I believe this tactics helps shein to maintain its popularity. Using this tactics can make you capture more opportunities and can make you superior on resources.
2. What is the most approriate offensive/ defensive tactic
shein should employ to retain its market. For me if you already master the offensive tactics I would choose the defensive tactics. Why? Because to retain your position you must know how to defend it right? So to retain or maintain your supremacy I believe use the defensive to tactics to control or to watch those incoming threats. Shein are already at the top of the competitions and get what he wants so the final or remaining job to do is to defend it.
