The Foundation of Voluntary Teaching of China

The Foundation of Voluntary Teaching of China, directly under the Central Youth Development Foundation, was officially established in March 2010. The symbol of the foundation signifies a scholar with heart, representing its mission in prospecting the whole nation through voluntary teaching and knowledge transfer from a group of highly educated scholars to thousands of secondary or elementary students from the minority, developing and disasterstricken rural districts and remote provinces. The foundation is aimed at developing and nourishing this next generation with a systematic, disciplinary, effective, scientific and continuous voluntary teaching support service. Cecilia, Kevin and Conrads voluntary teaching trip to China On Aug 21st to Sep 1st 2011, Cecilia and Kevin will be bringing 6 students to Beijing, China to support a project organized by the Foundation of Voluntary Teaching of China. Conrad will be joining them to deliver eight days of teaching activities to an elementary school in the rural area, mainly consisting of students from the farming community whose parents migrated to the city in search for job opportunities. The teaching will focus on the 3 main areas of English, Mathematics and Music.
