Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank is a leading Co-Operative Bank in Gujarat state, India. It is on the verge of completing half a century of the existence. Bank was established on 5th October 1953 with a small capital of Rs.4890 and Membership of 59 members .It was the first of its kind of start functioning in the erstwhile state of saurashtra, inaugurated by Shri Vaikunthbhai Mehta, who is considered to the MAHARATHI of Cooperative movement in Gujarat state. Commenced business in a small rental room in PATANI BUILDING on 5th October 1953, under the leadership of late Ketshavlal Amrulal Parekh as a Chairman and Late Janmashankar Antani as a M.D .Bank has made tremendous and real progress under the leadership of former Chairman Late Shri Arvindbhai Maniar.

RNSB remained as a average urban co-operative bank progressing steadily, till Late Shri Arvindbhai Maniyar took reins of the bank in his hand as a chairman in 1974-75.He remained there up to 1982.The bank flourished in leaps and bound during his tenure. Branch network rose to 19 branches from 7 branches.

Bank has developed in manifolds with the time. Membership(Share Holder) of bank is 228203 as on 31st March 2010 which is a record by itself & provides an example of how a mass movement can be turned into instrument for social upliftment.Today Bank has deposits base of 1345+ cores Establishments/individuals enjoy the facility of Rs.913+crores of advances.

Since inception bank was guided by the people with foresight & vision, which includes the names Like Shri Keshubhai Patel, Shri Vajubhai Vara, Shri Shashikant Mehta, Shri Vasantbhai Khokhani, Shri Pravinbhai Maniyar, Shri Shivlalbhai Vekaria etc.guided bank .Being in the service sector, with a vision of current &future trends, Bank started automation & modernization way back in 1987 and by 1995 all the branches were computerized.

Bank is enjoying the SCHEDULE BANK status since 1989.In year 2001 Bank was registered UNDER AMUL TI STATE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY ACT. With this Bank has opened a Branch in Mumbai, Economic Capital of India and become MULTI STATE SCHEDULED CO OPERATIVE BANK.

Keeping In sight, social obligation at large and interest of its shareholders in particulars, the bank is committed to social obligation ,credit requirement of small and medium term to all who need it and financial invest to fulfill national and provincial requirement.

Now, led and guided by the able and inspiring chairman, board of directors and service oriented personnel and full automation has propped up this bank to achieve new height and glory all the time by the times.

Bank is enjoying the SCHEDULE BANK Status Since 1989. In year 2001 Bank was registered UNDER MULTI-STATE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY ACT. With this Bank has opened a Branch in Mumbai, Economic Capital of India and become MULTI-STATE SCHEDULE COOPERATIVE BANK.
