Topic: Use of Interjections to convey meaning

Activity 1: INTERJECTION WISE!


The class will be having a role play or any creative way of presentation about the topic
they have picked, and they must see to it that in their role play, interjection/s will be
used.

 The class will be divided into groups by the teacher.


 Each group should have a representative to pick a piece of paper containing the
topic prepared by the teacher.
 They can choose their preferred way of presenting (song, poem, advertisement and
role – play).
 The presentation will be graded through the criteria provided:

Topic: Use of Interjections to convey meaning

Activity 2: COMPOSE YOUR OWN & VOICE IT OUT!

After the lesson about ‘Use of Interjections’, the class is tasked to create their own short
poem consisting interjections within it. And after composing, they will be given a day or
two to practice it. And when they are ready and prepared enough, they have to present
it in the class with passion and confidence.

As their guide, below are some examples of poem with interjections within it.

MEDICINE

Oh! Medicine, the grossest thing to me;


It doesn’t taste like ice cream or sweet,
Sweet candy.
When I swallow
It makes it too
me cry, hard, me
it makes I sayslouch
– OUCH!
I can say NO! But then my Mama would say,
“You listen to me or get sick and have it your way!”
I tell her, “Fine.” Then she shouts,
Dear me! I need to but the ingredients

All over again.

I need to do this

I need to do that
I wasn’t able to eat pie! Again!

 After reading the examples given, learners are now ready to compose their own.

 Their presentation of their own composed poem will be graded through the following criteria:
