Sadhguru is an
Indian yoga guru who
founded the Isha
Foundation. Sadhguru is
known for his unique way
of spreading wisdom.
Many may know him for
being open-minded and
has a belief on humanity not basing them from their religion. He is also known for founding the
Isha Foundation which is a nonprofit spiritual organization. His teachings gave a spark into my
soul that there can be such a philosophy in which it is so pure, that it gives a new way of seeing
life in a more positive and happy perspective, this can be seen in his book titled, “Inner
Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy”. His works, teachings, and philosophy are more on self-
based meditation and focuses on bettering oneself. His character of being a wise old man with a
big smile is what makes him very common, yet his teachings are unique in a way that it does
brings forth the virtue of his philosophy.

He is an influencer which can be seen on various social media, here we can see what
topics he tackles, and in our modern world with a lot on our mind, most of them are for us to
contemplate with. Even if we were able to live with our life disconnected with religion, he
connects it in a way that our happiness is not based on worldly materials but by the connection
we make to other people, the nature, the animals, and to ourselves. The said influencer kindled
the fire into everyone’s spirit by looking providing wisdom and promoting meditation to raise
self-awareness and on how to control one’s mind and body to cope up with the fast-moving
modernization brought by the world and society. He has a lot of followers may it be on social
media or on his yoga classes. This shows how he is very influential that there are tens of millions
of followers from across the world. He used his fame and, in a way, to help people to bring the
best in them, for a better community and society. His teachings and beliefs are very harmless
knowing about the Isha Foundation, it promotes wellbeing, and its mission and activities focuses
mainly on how they can make the world a better place.

He is my definition of a man who I wanted to be; a wise man who can bring joy to other’s
lives. Unlike the religious influencer that I dislike the most which is Andrew Tate, I agree to
little of his teachings but most of them is just pure disrespect to others and it very toxic and only
brings further negativity to humanity. We can see that they both used the social media platform,
and both gives off teachings on how to live our own life, both answers philosophical questions
indirectly, and both have a huge impact, but one chose negativity and the other chose positivity. I
really do not want to spread hate on other perspectives, but their morals are crooked in a way that
it supports gender inequality, sexism, violence, and toxicity.

Sadhguru’s vision of humanity and people instead of looking at their religion makes him
the most inclusive preacher there is. Even though he does not promote any religion and does not
consider himself in any religion his teachings of his wisdom can be seen as deep and genuine.
His promotion of inner self and understanding it, creates an enigmatic idea of him being in
control of his own life and yet not knowing fully of how one should live a life. He also talked
about on how with or without higher being his teachings would be effective as he said, “if you
ask a tree how he feels to know that he's spreading his fragrance and making people happy, I
don't think a tree looks at it that way. I am just like that, and it is just my nature to be like this.

“The sign of intelligence is that you are constantly wondering. Idiots are always dead sure about
every damn thing they are doing in their life.”
