(Panha role) Hello and good morning, everybody today my
team will present a topic in student as a global citizen called life
below water but before I get into the topic, I would like to
introduce you all to my team. Our team leader Sovann leap and our
teammates me, cherling, Tita and Sovann.
Now to get to know the topic better, I will tell you the
meaning of life below water. The meaning of it is Conserve and
sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for
sustainable development. So now you know the meaning of it. It
will be easier for you to understand our topic. As you can see by
our project half of the drawing is full of trash and pollution mean-
while the other is clean. People teaming up together to collect the
trash trying to save the environment. The affect between each of
the drawings have a huge different. I would like to pass on to
Sovann leap to talk about the effect of the picture.
(Leap role) Thank you, like panha sai d I will talk about the
effect of each side. The effect of the picture with pollution are
killing the livings thing in the water polluting the water so living
things in water can’t live there. The plastic heat up the earth
causing global warming, ice sheets to melt and might cause floods,
tsunami, because the trees or other plants die cause of the heat. It
makes the soil have no nutrients in the soil and might cause natural
disaster to happen more and plants are unable to grow in soils with
no nutrients and be stable. While the other side of the picture the
affect is much more positive like no more pollution in the water
and when there’s no pollution in water then it means that we will
have fresher water than the polluted one. It’ll helps the plants to
grow more stronger and more stable. The plants provide oxygen to
cool the earth and breathe. If living things are healthy then we will
have food with no poison and the food chain will be stable and
won’t collapse. The heat in the earth will reduce so there will be
fewer natural disasters and less plants will die and we will have
fresher air. It will be easier to predict the weather and stop the
melting of the ice sheets. As you can see by the effect you will
probably be able to find the problem. Now I would like to pass to
Tita to talk about the problem and solution.
(Tita role) Yes thank you, like Sovann leap said I will talk about
the problem and solution for everyone. The problem is that people
are polluting the earth by throwing plastics bottles, cans, bottle
caps, scraps of plastics, and other trashes into the body of water
such as oceans, ponds, and mostly beaches. The people who threw
them probably think they will magically go away but it just stayed
there and sank into the bottom of the ocean. The plastic, cans, other
trash can’t rot so it just polluted the water. You might ask ‘what is
the solution to problem?’ The solution to the problem is getting a
group of people to help the environment not throwing the trash into
the sea, ocean or beaches and use the trash bin, follow the rule
called ‘reduce re-use recycle’ conserve water or use less water so
excess runoff and wastewater will not flow into the ocean Reduce
Vehicle Pollution. The most efficient way to clean the ocean is by
dredging the plastic waste from the coastal locations rather than
deep in the ocean meaning ‘removing plastic wastes from coastal
location than deep in the oceans. If we do this and help each other
out then we will make the earth a better place without pollutions
and cleaner oceans.
