1.0 INTRODUCTION.
Environment is known as natural world and the impact of human activity on its condition
in other words it also mean as concerned with the protection of the natural world. Environment
itself is hard to be defined because the normal meaning relates to the surrounding. How about
Environmental Law? Environmental Law is a modern law with the recent development in our
legal system. Under Section 2 of the Malaysia Environmental Quality Act 1974, environment
is defined as “the physical factors of the surroundings of the human beings including land,
water, atmosphere, climate, sound, odor, taste, the biological factors of animals and plants and
the social factor of aesthetic.” In this subject, Environmental Law (LAW573), we are thought
about the law related to our surrounding and our right to use the law for the right purpose. In
this semester, Dr.Irini Binti Ibrahim, our lecturer, has given us a task which we need to have
our own event under SULAM and by the end of the event each students are also given a task
to make their individual final report based on the event that has been done before. Students
are expecting to make an individual based on their experience and share their thought about
the outcome they get from the event. The event we organized was a talk session where we
shared about cruelty towards animal and cruelty free. In this report I will be give my feedback
and things that I experience throughout the process from the start till the end of the event.

2.0 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The objectives of these event are to spread awareness among our participants about the
importance of knowing the product or brand that does not use animal as their testing sample
and also the importance of protecting the animal from being the victim of human cruelty
towards them. Besides that, this event also shared information and knowledge to the user of
skincare product and makeup about the side effect of using non cruelty product on our skin. It
is important because if the animal can show bad reaction towards the product, it also can
happen to our skin after using it. Plus, this event also helps the participants to be more aware
in choosing their product and guide them on how to identify which product is non cruelty free
or cruelty free and we also encourage our participants to switch to a cruelty free product since
it is for the sake of to protect the animal. Last but not least, the event does relate to the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) which is SDG 16: Peace and Justice, which all skincare
product and makeup use will make sure they are aware of the situation where animal is being
abused and being used as lab rats for the sake of the money and fame. Our participant is aware
that all animal should have the same right which they need to be protect not to be tested.

3.0 PROGRAM OUTCOMES

As for the program outcomes, the whole process before the real event happen was very
smooth and this is because we have a really good leader who was very good in guiding us from
the start till the end. I trust that leadership is very important especially working in group, this
is because a good leadership will always bring a great outcome. Besides that, we get to learned
to manage our own event and we also create a great bond between team members since we
need to always to work together to make the event run smoothly. Plus, we also improve our
communication skills which it is very important for to always communicate with each other
especially if need any help this is because communication helps others to understand the
problems and will try to solve it together. In addition, the total of participant was more than
what we are expecting and the feedback we receive from the participant was that most of them
really enjoyed the talk session. In my opinion, the event was a success for us even though we
receive a last minute changes but we manage to handle the event until the end.

4.0 PROBLEMS
There are few problems that we faced during the event happen. My personal opinion is
that the time management was not going well according to plan since we receive last minute
information that our Dr. Siti Hafsyah was going to give her speech on that day. Since the event
was just only for 1 hour 30 minutes, we could not have much longer Q&A session with the
participants. Besides that, before the event start, the person in charge in handling the technical
already test the audio and video and everything was just fine. But thing does not go as
according to what we expect when there was a small technical issue which the audio could not
be played and some video are unable to be shown to our participants. Plus, since our event
happen during flood, one of our team members could not joined us since she was also a flood
victim. Last problem we faced, our participant started to left our session when Dr. Siti start to
called them our randomly and it make the participant felt uncomfortable and left.

5.0 SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT

There are few suggestions that I think could make the event better which the first one is
that fixing the time management. Time management is really important in order to run the
event smoothly; I think the event should have more time duration this is because we can at
least be preparing for any last minute changes. We also appreciate to be receive early feedback
from our invited guests in case they decided to give speech during the event so that we could
actually manage the time more careful. Besides that, the thing should be improve is that the
person in charge should prepare a backup plan in case of unexpected problem happen with the
audio or video during presentation. This is because it can help to shorten the delay of the
program and would not make the participant wait. Last but not least, all of the team members
should be more prepared and act fast in handling unexpected situation and always look out for
the participants in case they faced difficulty.

6.0 CONCLUSION
The conclusion based on my experience and opinion is that, this event actually does really
help the students learn on how to organize the event from the start till the end. This is one of
the skills that each student need to learn and they get to experience working in the position that
they are given for example, my positions are assistant secretary and speaker. In this position I
get to learn on how to make a report for the event and also I get the chance to be a speaker
which I get to improve my confident talking in front of the audience and it was a great
experience for me. Besides that, we manage to handle the technical issue very well where the
person in charge act fast when it happens at that time. It shows that we need to act fast and to
always prepare a backup plan even we are not expecting bad things to happen during the event
but it would not cost any penny if we prepare it. Last but not least, overall the event is great
even though there are few problems but it ended very well.
