Escube Air-conditioning Pvt Ltd

Almost every sector of the economy needs HVAC – process industries, manufacturing,
automobiles, the building sector, hospitality, hospitals – the list is endless. Air conditioning is
essentially about providing air at the right temperature and humidity and flow rate for a
requirement. There are many ways to provide the desired air qualities – it could be natural
ventilation, or it could be by use of air conditioners like we have at our homes. Refrigeration is
another branch of HVAC and this industry is as large as the air conditioning sector itself
covering cold storage facilities, process refrigeration, food storage systems etc.

The HVAC industry is a large industry too – its size globally is approximately USD 108 billion
as on date, with projections to reach nearly USD 157 billion. The Indian HVAC market is
relatively small, about USD 2 billion which will expand to nearly double to USD 4 billion by
2024. The average growth of the industry is between 7 – 8 per cent. The industry employs a wide
variety of people, both in the informal and formal sector and with the growing demand for air
conditioning, the number of people that the HVAC industry employs will only keep on
increasing.

Reason for the rising installation rate of such equipment in the country is its burgeoning
residential construction sector. Apart from the rapidly increasing population and urbanization,
government support and the implementation of real estate regulations are also boosting
residential construction activities in India. Compared to 1.3% in 2016-2017, the construction
sector of the nation grew by 4.3% during 2017-2018, to reach $140 billion in FY2018.
Moreover, the ongoing construction of 100 smart cities in India will further drive the demand for
HVAC systems.

The Indian HVAC market is divided into ventilation, cooling, and heating, on the basis of
equipment type. Among these, the cooling category held the largest share during the historical
period (2014-2019), and the same scenario is predicted for the forecast period. Most of the
country has a tropical or subtropical climate, which means hot weather for much of the year. Day
temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius are common in sub-Himalayan India during summers, while
high humidity characterizes the period between July and September.

Among commercial, industrial, and residential end users, commercial users account for the
highest procurement rate of HVAC appliances in the nation. In recent years, the number of
corporate houses and shopping malls has risen vastly in the country, thus creating a huge demand
for ACs and heating and ventilation systems. By 2021, an additional 34 shopping malls are set to
be inaugurated in eight cities, including Hyderabad, Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), and
Bangalore.

Moreover, the rising spending on other commercial infrastructure projects is also helping the
Indian HVAC market grow. For instance, Delhi Metro is being expanded deeper into Noida and
Ghaziabad with an investment of $57 million. Similarly, two corridors of Mumbai Metro are
being constructed with a total expenditure of $925 million. Additionally, the construction of 100
airports over the next 10-15 years was okayed by the Indian government in 2017. As cooling and
ventilation systems are important in all such places, their establishment and expansion will boost
the HVAC demand.

Industrial Application :

In Industrial applications, cooling can be critical to ensure that processes do not cause equipment

or products to overheat. Many cooling applications use water as a medium to absorb heat,

because water has a high boiling point and high specific heat. There are many different ways to
set up an industrial cooling system, Escube Air Conditioning Pvt Ltd can help you select the

optimum specification tailored to your application and provide the support which will enable you

to manage your cooling system for best performance, maximum Longevity and lower operating

costs.

Evaporative Cooling System :

The principle underlying evaporative cooling is the fact that water must have heat
applied to it to change from a liquid to a vapour. When evaporation occurs, this
heat is taken from the water that remains in the liquid state, resulting in a cooler
liquid.

Evaporative cooling systems use the same principle as perspiration to provide

cooling for machinery and buildings. A cooling tower is a heat-rejection device,
which discharges warm air from the cooling tower to the atmosphere through the
cooling of water. In the HVAC industry, the term “cooling tower” is used to
describe both open- and closed-circuit heat-rejection equipment.

In an HVAC system, heat is generated by the sun shining on the building, the
computers, and people. The heat is picked up in the air handlers which are
indirectly tied to the refrigerant through several heat exchangers. The heat boils
the refrigerant from a liquid to a vapour. Cooling Tower water is circulated
through a heat exchanger where refrigerant vapour is condensed and heat is
transferred to the water. The purpose of the cooling towers is to cool the warm
water returning from the heat exchanger so it can be reused. In the open cooling
tower, the warm return water from the heat exchanger is sprayed over the “fill”.
The fill provides the surface area to enhance the heat transfer between the water
and air, causing a portion of the water to evaporate. That cool water then loops
back to the beginning of the process, to absorb more heat from the heat exchanger.

Escube Air-conditioning Pvt Ltd process flow chart:

Stage 1 : Enquiry to purchase order

Enquiry means is any process that has the aim of augmenting knowledge, resolving doubt, or
solving a problem. At the first stage When we are looking for leads, customers may occasionally
approach us or we may need to approach them by going to a newly constructed facility, such as a
pharmaceutical or institutional building. The bill of quantities, which is a document created by
cost estimators to determine the exact costing of the project work by multiplying item work by
the rate, must be made after locating the customer and generating and inquiring the number of
inquiries to the PO. After preparing the BOQ and submitting it to the customer, who may accept
or reject it for a variety of reasons, such as the fact that the BOQ is more expensive, by
negotiating with the client to see if they are satisfied with the BOQ, the task is then scheduled
After obtaining the purchase order from the client and assigning it a job number, the task is
transferred to the project. The purchase order must include the terms and conditions for the
quality elements as well as the payment procedure.
Stage 2 : Planning

Planning is the function of management that involves setting objectives and determining a course
of action for achieving those objectives. Planning requires that managers be aware of
environmental conditions facing their organization and forecast future conditions. After getting
the job, the next step is to visit the site in accordance with the client's requirements and complete
the drawing that shows the placement of the air conditioner's compressor, expansion valve
thermostat, and duck as well as the length of its pipe. Then send the TDS. If the client is happy
with the drawings, then finalise the BOQ. While finalising, is there any additional material
required for the instalment? If so, we need to submit an additional material approval from the
client, or else we will need to request that the client. After completing the hand over indent to
purchase for placing orders, the following stage is rising indent for material in accordance with
BOQ. Once the client has agreed to the additional material, rise and indent for the additional
amount before handing over indent to purchasing for placing order.

Stage 3: Purchasing

Purchasing is the process a business or organization uses to acquire goods or services to

accomplish its goals. Although there are several organizations that attempt to set standards in the
purchasing process, processes can vary greatly between organizations. In this phase, we need to
buy the supplies needed for installing the HVAC, so you must get in touch with the supplier,
haggle with them, and choose the supplier who will be profitable for you by looking at their
proposal. Once you’ve chosen the supplier, proceed to ordering the goods. If the material is not
up to standards, we must inform the supplier as to replacements. If the vendor refuses to provide
replacements, we must end our relationship with them by returning the material. Once we have
verified that the quality and quantity of the materials match the order, we must collect the bill,
the cheque, and give it to the accounting department for billing.

Stage 4: Project implementation and commissioning

Once the materials have been delivered to the site, the client must acknowledge the delivery
challan , which is then sent to the office to raise the bill. The materials must then be installed in
accordance with the drawings, and the client must provide a measurement certificate that is used
to calculate the freight. freight It can be calculated either based on weight or measurement when
it is charged on the basis of weight. When it is calculated based on weight, the weight declared
by the overseas supplier is accepted for the calculation of the project. Then, the accounting
section will raise the bill for instalment after the completion of the instalment. The next step is
commissioning of the project, which is nothing more than checking whether all recruitments are
installed completely.
