The House of Atreus is famous in early myths for being cursed by the gods, destruction
and death, this part memorable. Atreus’ grandfather is where the cursed the house begin. The
House of Atreus is entitled for the father of Menelaus and Agamemnon. Well-known figures
from the Trojan War stories, where the family line is usually drew back to Tantalus, and then
goes a further through for generations up to the time of Orestes Agamemnon’s son.
I enjoyed the story. This is because, Niobe story explains the Greek theme whereby gods
are faster in taking vengeance on human pride and arrogance. Niobe is the matter of lost
tragedies by both Sophocles and Aeschylus and Ovid narrates his stories on metamorphoses.
From the story of Tantalus was a kind of morality tale. It reflected Greek ethics, religion and
culture at the time. Moral of this myth was that, selfish actions could lead to consequences which
The whole thing in Agamemnon drives back to the generation before the major action
take place. Agamemnon has been much involving in fighting Troy and at home his wife
Clytemnestra excitedly expects his return. Orestes being a son and three daughters. With his
brother’s assistance, Agamemnon troop out Thyestes and Aegisthus to recover his father’s
kingdom.
The ending of Iphigenia was a happy ending making it enjoyable. When Iphigenia know
was about to sacrifice her brother, the plot changed to be an escape drama. Other important area
of the play was around rituals and gods, shows how the drama request inquisitive theological
questions.
