LAW AND REGULATIONS

The fire protection system installed are in full

compliance and regulations

1. The British Standards Institution 750 For Fire Hydrant

2. The British Standards Institution 5839 Part 1, 1980 For
Fire Alarm System
3. The Requirements Of The Chief Inspectorate Of The
Fire Services Malaysia.
FIRE ALARM SYSTEM : MANUAL ALARM

COMPONENTS

 Fire alarm panel

 Manual break glass
 Alarm bell
FIRE ALARM SYSTEM

 AN ALARM PANEL: monitors the state of all parts (zones) of the

installation.

 POINT DETECTORS: individual heat or smoke detection units

which respond to an irregular situation in the immediate vicinity

 LINE DETECTORS: a continuous type of detection comprising a

pair of conducting cables separated by low temperature melting
insulation to permit a short circuit alarm when the cable contact.

 POWER SUPPLY: These should have primary (normal electricity)

and secondary (battery) power supplies.
Smoke Detector : FIRE FIGHTING INSTALLATIONS

 Fire alarm system is

functioning as a components
which give warning sign to
occupants in a building if it is
burning.
 It normally, installed with
detector.
 There is 2 type of detector,
passive (Manual break glass)
and active (Smoke detector,
heat detector, light detector).
‘KELUAR’ sign and emergency light

Flashing lights
HOSE REEL SYSTEM :
WET RISER
HOSE REEL SYSTEM

 Pressurised using 1 unit of electrical pumpset as duty

pump & 1 unit diesel engine pumpset as standby
 Designed to operate an automatic mode (Pressure
switch) & manual mode (manual starting from the
pumpsets control panel)
 Standard coil length 30m, 36m or 100m.
 Specification :-
Working Pressure : 220Psi (15 Bar)
Minimum Burst Pressure : 696Psi (48 Bar)
Test Pressure : 250Psi
TYPICAL HOSE REEL: FIRE
FIGHTING INSTALLATIONS
SYNTHETIC DELIVERY NOSE

 General purpose synthetic

delivery hose. Suitable for
industrial and rural fire brigades
as well as static building
protection.

 General industrial, commercial

and civil engineering
applications including water
authorities where a high burst
performance hose is not
necessary

 Lightweight and flexible

Heat and cold resistant
Anti rot and anti-twist
BRANCH PIPE AND NOZZLE
 Branch pipes provide an
adjustable nozzle to allow the
curtain of water to be altered
from a narrow spray to a wide
spray.

 Nozzles provide a fixed jet of

water. The basic branch pipe
according to BS336 has an
21/2" inlet male instantaneous
and outlet threaded 11/3" BSP
male for either a plain jet or a
branchpipe adjustable nozzle.

 The branch pipe is controlled

from SHUT-OFF through JET
and SPRAY to wide angle
CURTAIN by rotating the
annular sleeve.
HOSE REEL SYSTEM:
DRY RISER
DRY RISER & INLET BREECHING

SYSTEM FOR DRY

RISER

 This range includes:

 Inlet breechings
 Inlet and outlet cabinets
 Outlet valves
 Standpipes, bars and
keys.
