We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the officials of Brgy Sta Ana Pateros,

especially to the Brgy. Chairperson Hon. Venancio G. Santidad for the support they had given us

in the fulfillment of this community project.

support and encouragement that he had given us in helping us plan and implement this

community project despite these difficult times.

Finally, I would like to thank my team for the cooperation and dedication they had put into the

making of this community project, this could not have been possible without your sincere efforts

and concern for the students and the community to which we extended our help.

III. BARANGAY PROFILE

 Santa Ana is a barangay in the municipality of Pateros. Its

population as determined by the 2020 Census was 29,680. This

represented 45.50% of the total population of Pateros. Sta. Ana

Pateros Manila is situated at approximately 14.5466, 121.0717, on

the island of Luzon. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at

5.1 meters or 16.7 feet above mean

sea level. The whole municipality is almost flat terrain with

slopes rising only up to 2.5% slanting downward towards Laguna

Lake. Such terrain and slope making Pateros very suitable for

urban development.

V. REFLECTION PAPER

In the height of the pandemic year 2021, classes have been shifted from face-to-face to online

distance learning modality. This way learners can still continue their education at the comfort of

their homes while being safe from the threats of Covid-19. But this modality has created a new

different problem. Many students and homes here in the Philippines can not afford and do not

have fixed broadband connections and devices to make online education possible. This has been

a huge problem since the government implemented online distance learning even until now. With

that being the case many students resort to using mobile data which is more costly and is highly

unstable than a fixed internet connection. But still, many parents and students are still struggling

to provide for their internet allowance so they can attend synchronous sessions, this resulted in

poor student performance and absenteeism. We know the struggles of online distance learning

every time problems with internet service arise, so our team decided to held a donation drive to

help students with their internet allowances. We had provided a week-long mobile data

allowance to selected students of any grade residing at Brgy. Sta Ana, Municipality of Pateros.

Metro Manila. This way we can help ease the students’ burden who are struggling to support

their needs for online education and hopefully this can be a motivation for them to strive and

continue their education.
