COURSE DESCRIPTION :

This course deals with the safety standards and procedures in the workshop as set by the
industry and the school. It includes topics such as personal safety, safety precautions and practices,
hazards anticipation, accident prevention, and first aid administrations. It also develops and enhances
the knowledge, skills and attitude of students to safely perform their tasks.

Class Policies:

A. Conduct of Class:

Regular Classes

Attendance is required of all students/trainees from the first to the last minutes of the class or
shop period. Students/Trainees are required to attend classes regularly and punctually. Three
consecutive unexcused tardiness would be counted as one absence. Students/Trainees are
required to attend their regular classes daily based on the schedule of classes.

Three (3) days successive absences incurred by the trainees is subject for reprimand or warning.
An aggregate of ten (10) absences will be considered dropped automatically from the
qualification but subject to re-instatement upon presentation of valid reason for being absent
which the head of school shall approve. Students/Trainees committing absences or tardiness
must acquire admissions slips from the guidance counselor as prerequisite before entering
classes.

Online Classes

Attendance in the school’s online classes is recorded through Learning Management System
(LMS).

Students/Trainees are required to:

 Submit quizzes and periodic exams
 Documented student participation in an interactive tutorial or computer-assisted
instruction
 Post their participation in an online study group assigned by the institution
