INSTRUCTIONS: Make a Critical assessment about Vhong Navarro’s case. If you are the
Judge, then how will you judge the case of Vhong Navarro?
• Does he commit rape in what degree?
• Was is it a conditional or intentional?
• What will be your final verdict on his actions?

Some facts I knew about this case were all over the news, and I didn't understand much of
what was going on because I was young, but I never imagined that this case would resurface so
many years after it was dismissed by the Supreme Court. Knowing what really happened is initially
perplexing because no one knows who is telling the truth. Because both parties are seeking
"justice," everything can be manipulated in front of the camera to show that one party was wrong
but not their own. Rape is a serious crime regardless of a person's gender or sexual orientation.
Anyone, regardless of age, location, or event, can be a victim or an offender because the right
pieces of evidence, not just witnesses, can help to solidify the case. Above all, many things can be
manipulated, and sentences can or cannot be reversed depending on the person claiming to be the
victim's power, status, and reputation.

As I previously stated, rape is a serious case, and in order to say it really happened, pieces
of evidence must be gathered to determine if it is the truth, because a lack of evidence leads to a
dead end. According to what I researched on their parts, it was two different stories: Cornejo claims
it was a grave action by Navarro, as there were pills for dizziness and paralysis for the drinker,
while Navarro claims he didn't do it and Cornejo's friends with two men beat him and forced him
to say "he did it." Although it was done in 2014, it recently resurfaced, and Cornejo provided more
details about the actor's alleged victim, which took some time because truths and lies can be built
over time. From the outside, it can be intentional if it truly occurred, or conditional, as it can be
made up for the attention a person requires. Yes, gathering evidence takes time; however, evidence
can be fake or real. This reminds me of the famous Depp vs. Heard trial, in which Johnny Depp
was accused of being a "man beater," which altered everyone's perception.

Many people initially supported Heard because she had "evidence," but in the end, Depp
won the case because of the details that they consulted experts, which are really seen in studies
and reviews from psychologists, health experts, and even professors who can see things from his
movement and the way he spoke during the trial. According to the latest news, Navarro was
released after paying his bail, but he is still being held. Accusations can be damaging to an actor's
or actress's career, as in the case of Johnny Depp, who lost many projects due to the accusation
and the fact that he lost to a publishing company, and it is unclear if he will be sponsoring the
companies that let him go during his darkest hours as he won the case from his ex-wife, who fled
the country to avoid the public eye, and now she has no projects due to her lies and manipulation.
Many people are tired of seeing what has been dismissed resurface, unless these pieces are facts,
in which case it will be seen during the trial to see who is telling the truth, as I can't conclude for
my final sentence about this case because solving this case requires paying attention to details and
critical thinking because it involves two people's careers.
