MARK Evaluation:

The project is worth 25% of your final grade. 20% will be for the presentation

 The mark for each group member will be individually adjusted, based on the effectiveness of their participation in
the project. It will be based on a peer evaluation, as well as professor evaluation.

 The two criteria for the individual adjustment will be:

 Did you contribute your fair share to the project?
 Did you work well with the others in the group?

 The individual adjustment will be multiplicative on the group mark. This means:
 Someone who contributes nothing to the group will receive a mark of zero.
 Someone who refuses to work with other group members, for example by doing all of the work themselves, or by
excluding other group members who want to contribute, will lose marks.
 Someone who is average on individual evaluation will receive a mark equal to the group.
 Someone who excels on individual evaluation will receive a higher mark than group mark.

 Some tips on working in groups:

 Divide up the work: It’s inefficient for everyone to work together on everything.

Considerations in your presentation – Is your presentation informative? Did you effectively use concepts and
relationships from the course? Were your conclusions sound. Did we gain noel insights into the topic? Was your
presentation logically structured, clear, and compelling? Were the slides effective? Are you practiced and within
time limit?
