Improper handling.

Erroneous Measurement! Hazards to Per-

sons!
Make sure that the insert is introduced in the
phantom body to the end stop. Only when the
front of the insert is flush with the front of the
phantom body is each CT marker in its correct
plane.

• Slide the insert into the aperture of the phan-

tom body from the front until you hear the latch
click into place.
The audible click does not mean that the insert
has reached its correct position.

• Push the insert a little further until the front of

the insert is flush with the front of the phantom

5.2 Inserting a Detector

Both, the RUBY insert Patient QA - detector and
the RUBY insert System QA have a bore hole for
insertion of a single detector in the central posi-
tion, and the corresponding detector holder.

The RUBY insert System QA - MultiMet has three

bore holes for insertion of one single detector
each in the central, caudal, and cranial posi-
tions, and the corresponding detector holders
(refer to Figure 20).

NOTICE
Observe the following points to avoid equip-
ment damage:

The filler module is lying only loosely on the

base body of the RUBY insert Patient QA - film
and may fall down. When handling the compo-
nents, be sure to take a firm hold of the filler
module together with the base body. This is of
particular importance when removing the insert
from the RUBY carrying case or putting it into
the RUBY carrying case.
