Give personal examples of hindrances to critical thinking and explain why they are such.

Hindrance Reason
1. Hungriness. Hunger hinders emotional, social, and cognitive
development. This includes the skills of reading,
language, focus, memory, and problem-solving.
Hunger affects our ability to concentrate and
learn.
2. Biased nature and experiences. One of the biggest hindrances to critical thinking
is having personal prejudices because they
prevent someone from making conclusions that
are fair, unbiased, and transparent.
3. Laziness. To engage in critical thinking, one must conduct
extensive research, read practically relevant
material, and be open to learning new things.
Laziness, however, serves as one of the Barriers
to Critical Thinking.
4. Fear of Failure. Fear usually hinders a person's ability to think
critically as well as their general growth and
development. The lack of confidence, lack of
motivation, and lack of agility make them less
able to think creatively and come up with ideas
and tactics.
