INSPIRATION
AN ORDINARY MID-DAY

KOLKATA STREET

There is a pattern of life, elements of the

city predominantly the yellow taxi, old

buildings, buses painted in blue and

yellow, and tangled wires collectively

make it recognisable as Kolkata.

But why this picture? the composition of

the one-point perspective or the

emotions it evokes in me?

SKETCHES 1
here, I tried studying just the

frame and abstracting

SKETCHES 2
after sorting the keywords, here

are a few explorations trying to

bring out the essence and

choosing one to go forward with

SELECTED

FRAME

the slow movement of people in

their own specific directions, taking

small pauses in between to

observe and enjoy art and literature

or connect better to their

surroundings, being tolerant and

unhindered by foreign elements it

co-exists together beautifully

MORE EXPLORATIONS

curving the lines was losing the essence of

the frame and circles with the lines gave

more cohesive feel to the frame

FINAL FRAME

Harmony in Chaos
someone who is expressive & creative, who enjoys the

crowd and wants to show that out to the world, someone

who likes to explore and never stops trying, someone who

enjoys the present, likes the process than the goal, who is

slow-moving and finds achievements in connections

Simplified

the frame

Streamlined the frame a little bit into smaller fragments to capture the essence of

it. The overlapping lines with dotted pauses move unhindered by bigger

spherical elements; a cohesive feeling.

Ideations
Tried to visualise the frame in the form of

furniture, lighting, installation but it seems to

be losing its essence

BRASS Association with local materials

MOTHER OF PEARL and cost-efficient was a major

of pearl acts as the rare element.

Brass beaten into stiff wires,

with mother of pearl inlay at

Details specific places and small

beads, 2 to 3, knotted between

the certain small distance that

moves slowly while in motion.

The ear cuff is clipped at both

ends with the help of brass

Materials used: polymer clay, wire, thermocol
3D printed the enlarged
