Ensure that there is a safe distance between everyone at all times

Not to use banknotes and limit dealing as much as possible to

4 Removing seats and places to sit.
5 Relying on electronic doors.
In the absence of electronic doors, the doors remain open for the

7 Preventing the return or replacement of the sold goods.
Determine the number of customers inside the store (one customer

for every 10 square meters)
Organizing the process of entering the store and waiting outside if

14. Highly visible Workspace cleaning
I. PURPOSE
1. The main communication and decision persons from the center shall call HR and
Center/Line Managers.
2. ALJ HR Operations to provide assurance of compliance and adherence with this
procedure, in conjunction with relevant line/center management.
3. Guests, Associates and Contractors showing any of the following symptoms must not
be allowed to enter the facility: continuous cough, high fever (37.8ºC or more), sore throat
or shortness of breath, Loss of smell and loss of taste.
4. After turning away the suspected person,
a. The entrance must get disinfected immediately,
b. The persons appointed in at the entrance must wash their hands & face with water &
soap and alcohol-based sanitizer, and wear new their masks and gloves.
5. The whole facility/center to be shut down temporarily for twenty-four (24) hours in case
of confirmed infection of any of the associates or contractor.
6. Aggressive deep sanitization of the whole facility must be taken place during
temporarily closure period of the center. Center management or line manager to deploy
other working groups or alternative persons (if available) to operate the facility after closure
7. COVID-19 tests are conducted only in MOH hospitals, ALJ HR & Center management
to follow up with MOH if persons with direct contact with an affected Associate/contractor
require laboratory testing or not.
8. Associates sent for quarantine must remain self-isolated for fourteen (14) days. The
Line Manager to coordinate with HR and inform the Medical Office of such associates in
order provide detailed quarantine procedure, follow-up and monitor the case.
9. The Associate handling the affected associate should follow the disinfecting procedure
or following steps before connecting with family member or other associates:
a. Dispose his cloves and mask
b. Washes his cloths separately
c. Takes complete bath / shower
d. Disinfects his shoes.
10. All Associates and their families related arising medical issues must be report to the
ALJ Medical Office for guidance and continuous tracking & follow-up.
11. If the affected Associate/Contractor has deteriorated and unable to walk & drive his car;
center management or line manager to:
a. Call ambulance at 997,
b. Allocate an isolated area or room till the ambulance arrives:
i. Near the exit door,
ii. Maintain strict distance of 1-2 meters from other persons.
iii. Provide the sick associate gloves, and masks. The person handling him also
must wear the same.
12. Security management rules shall be as follows:
a. Security Guards should be seen as the first point of identification of a symptom and
therefore a deterrent to ensure strict Access Control, based on their immediate judgement
– if necessary they should call for management support should an issue of access denial
b. Security Guards will assist in access control by mandatory measurement of body
temperature of any individual who wishes to enter identified facilities (NGFC, HO and
c. Should the temperature exceed 38 degrees C, the person will be denied entry,
requested to seek medical assistance and the Security Guard report the incident to his
immediate supervisor or manager. The specific supervisor will report immediately to the HR
person dealing with this subject. (Such HR persons contact detail should be available with
d. No Security Guard should get involved in physical arresting somebody who refuses to
go for medical treatment.
e. Security Guards should keep the safe distance from any Associate or Guest and assist
HR to persuade the person to seek medical assistance.
f. In the event of an Associate or Guest who refuse to seek medical assistance the
Security Guard should immediately phone the police.
g. CCTV footage of such incidents should be made available to facility managers enabling
them to identify persons, objects or areas where the infected person has been present to
identify areas of contamination for potential immediate disinfection.
1. The Associate and his/her family members to seek medical advice immediately if
anyone develops symptoms such as: dry continuous cough, fever, sore throat or shortness
of breath, Loss of smell and loss of taste.
2. If the case is not suspected to be COVID-19:
a. Obtain medical condition report if the Associate is required to stay at home, and inform
line management. Affected family members to continue their treatment plan as prescribed
b. Close monitoring & supervision of the employee by ALJ Medical Office and HR till he/she
is cured. Follow up with on Day 7 and Day 14.
3. If the case is suspected to be COVID-19 positive (for the Associate or any family
member):
a. The Associate must inform the line management if he or his family member are infected
or suspected), and line manager to inform HR.
b. The suspected Associate and his/her family members must remain isolated, and work
from home, till confirmatory tests are issued by the concerned laboratory.
c. In case laboratory results are negative for COVID–19 follow step number 2 above.
d. In case laboratory results are positive for COVID-19; the hospital will arrange with the
Ministry of Health to transfer the patient directly to the designated quarantine hospital.
e. The suspected person to be transported by MOH designated ambulances (997).
f. ALJ HR to coordinate with the line management and inform MOH at 937 regarding:
i. Workplace location of the Associate (even if the exposure was from the family member).
ii. Information of Associates working with him/her.
iii. Any local or international travels made during 14 days’ prior diagnosis.
Before Coming to Work:
• The affected Associate shall not return to work till he/she and the infected family
members are officially tested negative, reported and declared by MOH as “Fully
Recovered”. Medical report from MOH must be obtained confirming the case is
Negative
B. During Working Hours:
1. Facility management to check body temperature of the Associate and Contactors
three (3) times
a. Arrival to the workplace in the morning (at the entrance)
b. During mid-day (lunch time).
c. For contractors; before entering the accommodation after work.
2. Associates noticed to have body temperature higher than the normal (equal to or
higher than 37.8ºC) should be asked to leave and seek medical advice immediately.
3. Frontline and field Associates/Contractors must be always wearing masks, and
gloves while working.
4. During the course of a working day, if any associate develops any symptoms such
as: worsening cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath, then he/ she should self-
isolate him/herself immediately in a separate area as outlined in point no. 10 above. Line
manager to inform HR and ALJ Medical Office accordingly.
5. If the employee is not suspected for COVID-19 follow the same above
mentioned procedures in step number (2) under Outside Working Hours.
6. If the employee is suspected for COVID-19 follow the same above mentioned
procedures in step number (3) under Outside Working Hours.
7. Affected person shall remain self-isolated and away from work till confirmatory
laboratory results are issued.
8. If the suspected Associate got confirmed with COVID-19, the center management
has to follow the steps from 4 to 8 outlined in General Rules for Line Management.
9. ALJ HR to coordinate with the line management and inform MOH at 937 regarding:
a. Workplace location of the Associate.
b. Information of Associates working with him/her.
c. Any local or international travels made during 14 days prior diagnosis.
d. Follow further instructions from MOH, if they decide to send their Rapid Response
C. Affected Contractors
1. Contractual company supervisors to ensure checking body temperature and well-being
of the contractor before riding the bus transporting them to ALJ premises. Upon reaching to
ALJ premises, the facility/center management to:
a. Check temperature at the entrance.
b. Check temperature during mid-day (around lunch time).
c. Contractual company is responsible to re-check body temperature of all contractors
before entering the accommodation after work.
2. Isolate the affected Contractor immediately in an isolated room or area if he/she develop
severe symptoms such as: dry continuous cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath,
Loss of smell and loss of taste, and inform his company.
3. The suspected person to be transported by MOH designated ambulances (997).
4. Temporary stoppage of all work activities of the affected contractual companies, and put
them in one isolated area, till sent back to their residence.
5. If the case not suspected to be COVID-19, the contractor should not work ALJ
premises till fully recovered with appropriate medical report.
6. If the case suspected to be COVID-19 positive:
a. Temporary stoppage of work contract with the contractual company immediately, and
place the remaining contactors in quarantine as per MOH guidelines.
7. ALJ HR to coordinate with the line management and inform MOH at 937 regarding:
a. ALJ sites served by this contractual company, and this particular contractor.
b. Number of Associates working in ALJ sites, where the affected contractor served.
c. Information about travel history in past 14 days.
d. The affected contractor shall not return to work till he is officially tested, reported and
declared by MOH as “Fully Recovered”.
