Greetings in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.

I humbly submit the following explanation for the details called for in the reference cited.

I submit to state that election of deacons for the triennium 2021-2024 was decided in the Church
General Body Meeting held on 13.12.2020 and the election process was put in motion with the
announcement of the election schedule as per the Constitution of the Diocese as detailed below:

First announcement in Sunday Service : 20.12.2020

Second Announcement : 27.12.2020
Commencement of Nomination : 27.12.2020 to 02.01.2021
Announcement of Eligible Candidates : 03.01.2021
Withdrawal of candidature : 03.01.2021 to 09.01.2021 (upto 05.00 PM)
Announcement of Final List of Candidates : 10.01.2021
Date of Election : 17.01.2021

There was no complaint or objection about the candidates during the scrutiny of the nominations.
The valid nominations were announced in the Sunday service on 03.01.2021. I submit to state that the
instructions via SMS was received three days after the declaration of the final list of candidates. I submit
further that Thiru C. David Paul Daniel filed his nominations on 30.12.2020 and it was found valid while
scrutinizing the nominations and hence his nomination was accepted. If any nomination is rejected after
declaration of candidates, it will lead to litigations affecting the congregation and the unity of the church. I
submit that one Thiru C. David Paul Daniel is stated to be an employee of the CSI Institute of Technology,
Thovalai, a self -financing institution and hence I honestly interpreted the instructions and came to the
considered view that the nomination need not be interfered. Further the above candidate submitted an
undertaking that if any legal issues arise subsequently, he will resign from the Committee, if elected.

However I realize that I would have removed the name of the above person while announcing the
final list of candidates and I apologize for the procedural lapses, if any noticed in the conduct of elections.

Respected Pastor,

I am contesting the church election for Church Deacon. My nomination has been
accepted on 03.01.2021 as per the rules governing the conduct of elections enshrined in the
Diocesan Constitution.

I have been working in CSI Institute of Technology, a Self Financing institution of the
Diocese without any salary from the management for the last two years. The interim court
orders being circulated in social media with respect to contesting of elections by those get
salary aid from the government is not applicable to me.

However in the event of any adverse orders from Courts with respect to persons
working without government salary as well, I undertake that if elected, I will resign from the
Committee immediately.
