1) Introduction

Process control is an essential element of the quality management system, and refers
to control of the activities employed in the handling of samples and examination processes in
order to ensure accurate and reliable testing. Sample management, discussed in Chapter 6,
and all quality control (QC) processes are a part of process control.
QC monitors activities related to the examination (analytic) phase of testing. The goal
of QC is to detect, evaluate, and correct errors due to test system failure, environmental
conditions or operator performance, before patient results are reported.
QC is the part of quality management focused on fulfilling quality requirements
Simply put, it is examining “control” materials of known substances along with patient
samples to monitor the accuracy and precision of the complete analytic process. QC is
required for accreditation purposes.
In 1981, the World Health Organization (WHO) used the term "internal quality
control" (IQC), which it definition as “a set of procedures for continuously assessing
laboratory work and the emergent results”. The terms QC and IQC are sometimes used
interchangeably; cultural setting and country may influence preferences for these terms.
In the past few years, "internal quality control' has become confusing in some settings
because of the different meanings that have been associated with the term. Some
manufacturers of test kits for qualitative tests have integrated "built-in" controls in the design
of their kits, which they sometimes refer to as internal controls. Other manufacturers include
their own control materials with the kits they sell and they refer to these as "internal
controls", meaning that the materials are meant specifically for that manufacturer’s kit.
Finally, some people refer to any quality control materials that are used in conjunction with
test runs as IQC, as in the 1981 WHO definition.
To avoid confusion, the term "quality control" will be used here to mean use of
control materials to monitor the accuracy and precision of all the processes associated with
the examination (analytic) phase of testing.
2) Background of company

Figure 1

The company was founded in 1918 by Matsushita Konosuke to manufacture and

market the electric lamp sockets and plugs he designed. It was incorporated in 1935 and
began expanding rapidly into a number of varied electrical product lines. During the 1930s it
added such electrical devices as irons, radios, phonographs, and light bulbs. In the 1950s it
began producing transistor radios, television sets, tape recorders, stereo equipment, and large
household appliances. During the next decade it added microwave ovens, air conditioners,
and videotape recorders. Most of its products are marketed under the brand names Panasonic,
Quasar, National, Technics, Victor, and JVC.

Nonconsumer products include minicomputers, telephone equipment, electric motors,

chemical and solar batteries, and cathode-ray tubes. The company also has developed and
marketed electronic measuring and timing instruments, copy machines, automatic traffic
control devices, office automation equipment, and products in the communications,
broadcasting, and solar energy fields. The company is noted for its heavy investment in
research and development; in addition to its main research laboratories, each Panasonic
manufacturing division is backed by its own research team.
Panasonic Industrial Company (M) Sdn Bhd started its operations in Malaysia in 1996
providing marketing, sales and services of electronic components and factory automation

MACHINE
Lack of maintenance – Lack of maintenance or inadequate maintenance can lead to
dangerous situations, accidents and health problems. Maintenance is a high-risk activity with
some of the hazards resulting from the nature of the work. Maintenance workers are more
likely than other employees to be exposed to various hazards.
Insufficient coolant – It essentially means that your engine is running very cold and that the
ECM has not detected a predetermined coolant temperature value.
ACCURACY
Improper Installation (Assembly) – Installation or assembly means the reassembly at a job
site of equipment that is wired and assembled at the factory and then disassembled for
shipping purposes or of existing equipment that is relocated.

Wrong comment – A faulty piece of equipment has something wrong with it and is not
working properly.

EMPLOYEES

Inexperience – If you don't have the relevant experience required for a certain job then step
one is to accept it. You can't 'fake it' so, first, accept that you lack experience. But realize that
you can actually use a lack of work experience to your advantage.

Untrained – Someone who is untrained has not been taught the skills that they need for a
particular job, activity, or situation.

MEASUREMENT

Inspecter – A less factory inspector is someone who checks that factories comply with
regulations affecting them.
Item not in place – the measurement of the item is not accurate or fits in a certain size
measurement.

Analysis pareto graph
Pareto chart helps a team focus on problems that offer the greatest potential for
improvement, by showing different problems' relative frequency or size in a descending bar
graph, which highlights the problems' cumulative impact
The lowest is tighten screw holder p.s cord to control board as much 22192. This is
because, for a certain process tighten screw holder p.s cord to control board, it is not easy for
him to do it. It requires more persistence and focus The highest is terminal board prepation as
much as 326040. It's because, maybe the number of workers is more that it produces more
items and according to the specified specifications. In addition, the equipment used by the
factory, according to the high level of technology. This, it can produce a higher amount of
products and quality.
The pareto graph shows a positive situation. This is because there is no damage or
defect in the item. Besides, maybe they control the items well.
7) Discussion
First of all, base on check sheet data, we got we got data from the panasonic factory that
shows the condition of the electronic items there in good condition. In addition, the pareto
chart also proves that the graph is in good condition. So, we obtained item data at the
panasonic factory which shows that there are not many defects or damage problems on the
item. therefore, we expect the management of the factory to always focus on every item
obtained in their factory.
Management needs to monitor workers and factories more often to make sure
the company doesn't have any problems.Beside that, Employee monitoring is a growing
practice in which companies use digital tools to track work, employee performance, and work
in progress. Businesses use different monitoring methods to measure productivity, track
attendance, assess behavior, ensure security, and collect proof of hours worked.
Products not of high quality will affect the market. Product quality is important
because it affects the success of the company and helps establish its reputation in customer
markets. When companies can create high-quality products that continue to meet customer
demands, it can lead to fewer production costs, higher investment returns and increases in
revenue
Get more more experienced employees who can further develop the company
and make the goods produced can be used by consumers more comfortably. A good
experience empowers employees to try their best. If their workplace projects an air of
support, employees will feel confident about their work and less afraid of failure. Improve
engagement. Employees with a positive view of their workplace enjoy a certain level of
excitement about their job.
The more workers in a factory, the more ideas that can be generated, to ensure
that the product is of better quality. Product quality is important because it affects the
success of the company and helps establish its reputation in customer markets. When
companies can create high-quality products that continue to meet customer demands, it can
lead to fewer production costs, higher investment returns and increases in revenue.
Machine maintenance according to the set schedule and machine condition if
necessary. Machine maintenance can include regularly scheduled service, routine checks,
and both scheduled and emergency repairs. It also includes replacement or realignment of
parts that are worn, damaged, or misaligned. Machine maintenance can be done either in
advance of failure or after failure occurs.
Need to make a report immediately to the department supervisor so that the
problem can be resolved quickly. Explain how you've already tried to solve the problem
and what you've learned from those attempts. Recommend a specific approach, along with
alternatives, to provide your manager with options. Clearly define each possible option,
addressing the pros and cons, and any potential risks or barriers

Next, the panasonic factory always practices the concept of quality control with
excellence. This is because, they employ experienced and trained workers. In addition, the
equipment used by the panasonic factory follows current technology. This causes their
factory to produce quality products .
8) Conclusion
Quality control is important to safeguard the company's reputation, prevent
products from being unreliable, and increase trust on the side of consumers. It ensures that
the company looks at evidence-based data and research rather than anecdotal observations to
ensure that the services/products live up to the standards.
Quality management is the act of overseeing all activities and tasks needed to
maintain a desired level of excellence. Quality management includes the determination of a
quality policy, creating and implementing quality planning and assurance, and quality control
and quality improvement.
Reading blueprints and specifications. Monitoring operations to ensure that they
