    AUTOMATED TESTING ENGINEER

    Job Purpose:

    You will be a new member of our TransVital


    (https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/markets/transport/main-line-rail/transvitaltm-secured-
    platform-sil-4-applications ) Test team.
    In this position you will have the opportunity to work with experts from Thales Romania and
    Austria in a very dynamic and complex environment and also will be responsible for testing
    the TransVital (Linux based SIL4 platform).

    Job summary:

    Test of complex and safety-critical application software for the railway field, including:
    • Specification of Test Cases on Requirements basis
    • Implementation of Test Cases subsystem test
    • Software Integration test, including automation of Test Cases
    • Execution automated tests (99.9%) and manual tests (0.01%)
    • Support of test environments, tools and simulation
    • Evaluation of the test output (coverage, traceability, progress)
    • Test documentation (Test Case Specification, Test Reports, etc)
    • Regular test reporting

    Professional competencies

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Electronics, Computer Science , Cybernetics ,


    Mathematics, Physics, or similar
    Requested technical competencies:

    • Advanced knowledge of Linux


    • Programming: C
    • Script Languages: bash, shell utilities, Expect/TCL, python
    • Ability to understand and interpret product specifications
    • A good understanding of the business approach
    • Good communications and consultancy skills
    • Good problem solving and diagnostic skills
    • Knowledge of computer networks fundamentals

    Would be a plus:
    • Knowledge of JIRA, Doors, ClearCase, Git, SVN
    • Experience in Railway Business: testing SIL4 SW
    • Testing of complex software systems under usage of technical means like simulators
    and scripting languages

    Personal competencies

    • Solution oriented, team-working


    • Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team

    Languages:
    • Fluency in English
