Bombay sweets offering us the most delicious ethnic snacks in different palatable. Bombay sweets’s
chanachur are mixes enjoyed by all ages. They make them unique to choose selective ingredients such
as sour, dalmoth, badam, spices, flavours etc. Let’s see the Chanachur items that Bombay Sweets
provide us from the begging to now.

These are some products of Bombay Sweets Chanachur, and we know that The Normal or Regular
Chanachur is very much popular in all over Bangladesh. But in the market, there are some competitors
of Bombay Sweets and nowadays they are dominating the market too. In local Bangladesh market,
Ruchi, Pran, BD Food are also making different types of chanachur of different flavor. Those products are
also unique in taste, size, price, packaging and promotion as well. By measuring the competitive
advantage of the other company’s products, Bombay Sweets put their chanachur product in a very close
fight. We will discuss the rest of the factors in stages throughout the report.

Price:

Bombay Sweets Chanachur used to contain 20 grammes of food items. The pack now weighs 15
grammes. The price has remained unchanged at Tk 5. The 600g pack has shrunk to 500gm and the price
has increased from Tk 100 to Tk 110. The price of the 150gm Bombay Sweets Dalmoth Chanachur pack
has been revised upwards to Tk 45 from Tk 40. It went up to Tk 80 from Tk 60 for the 300gm pack.

"Still, we are finding it difficult to cope with the rising costs. We are running the business at break-even,"
said Khurshid Ahmad Farhad, general manager of Bombay Sweets.

So, along with Bombay Sweets, other companies are also in the competition in Bangladesh local market.
We can say that they all are following the “Product Line Pricing Strategy” to set their products’ prices.
And because of target customers and product distribution procedure, all companies have their own
unique way to set their product prices. However, their set up prices for their products are very close to
each other or sometimes it is equal.
