Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Environment Requirements
Finding a suitable place to install the UPS can effectively exert the functions of the UPS,
reduce the chances of the UPS malfunctioning, and prolong the usage life of the UPS;
therefore please select the most suitable environment by referring to the
recommendations below in order to prevent disasters from happening.

A. Using this product in environments with sparks, smog, or gas is prohibited in order
to prevent dangers such as flashover (ARC), injuries or fire etc.
B. Avoid placing the UPS in environments that contain corrosive substances including
dust, volatile gases or high salt.
C. The location where the UPS is installed must be well ventilated mainly because a
small amount of gas is generated from the chemical reactions when the battery is
being charged; it can easily lead to environmental hazards if the battery ruptures.
D. Check the installation location; do not place it in environments that are too hot or
where humidity is too high as stated in the manual (temperature 0-40°C with
corresponding humidity of 0-95%).
E. Please do not place it at locations with a heat source nearby in order to prevent
consuming the battery life.
F. Please do not place it outdoors and avoid direct sunlight exposure.
G. Please make sure there are no living creatures in the environment where the UPS
is placed that might cause damage to the cables, such as rats etc.
H. Please confirm the robustness of the floor in order to provide a steady environment
to place the machine and battery and to ensure no damage will be caused from
dropping.
I. It is recommended to place a fire extinguisher close by the UPS for emergency use.
