It is my opinion that the standard that could be employed to describe a good life could

originate from various approaches that are based on Aristotle. According to him, happiness is
defined as living well and doing well. According to the Greeks, this is referred to as eudemonia,
which implies happiness, whereas other individuals consider it to be individual prosperity and
thriving. Nevertheless, happiness in the context of eudemonia must be distinguished from living
well, where eudemonia is characterized by doing good in all areas of one's life.
The term "scientism" refers to a belief in the intensity of scientific knowledge to an
sextreme. It is the practice of systematic or methodical schemes and logical dispositions and ideas
that are drawn from the natural sciences and incorporated into human exercises and social
experiences where there is a strong belief that science is the only approach and method for us
to be secure in the midst of calamities and disasters. It follows that believing that being scientific
will lead to the supremacy and advantage in terms of power and credibility. The documentary
film entitled "The Magician's Twin: C.S. Lewis and the Case against Scientism", give emphasis on
how Lewis contradict the acknowledgement of scientism as the only approach to stream the main
solid technique in pursuing the knowledge about the world wherein he imposed that its end
product apparently led those scientists or ‘technocrats’ to think that they are the only ones who
have the privilege to direct the general public’s ethics, religious convictions, and even the right
to rule over government strategies just because of their superiority complex, the result of their
exceptional logical skill.
Aristotle defined a good life as one that is happy. It is his belief that happiness is an end
in itself. Wealth, honor, pleasure, and virtue can all be considered factors of happiness, but
Aristotle believes that happiness cannot be found in these factors since it is only of economic
value. The definition of a happy life is one in which a number of needs have been met to some
degree. An individual with a sense of material well-being, good health, contentment, and strong
family and friendship ties is considered to have a sense of well-being.
As a result of all the advancements made in technology, people now have the ability to
create based on their thoughts and judgments. It is more likely that people will seek a decent life
and pleasure if they live by such a standard, as opposed to a never-ending quest for power, which
might lead to disaster. In the end, the common good will triumph, and humanity will be guided
by the principle of balancing what is best for all and for each individual. There is nothing wrong
with learning; it is how a person uses it; as long as we adhere to our beliefs, we will be able to
lead a happy life.
