BBQ EVENT PLANNING 2
Having my birthday soon, I have to ensure food safety by considering the following. First
and foremost, food preparation areas should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent food from being
reducing foodborne illness and reducing pests and rodents in the food preparation areas.
Secondly, personal hygiene should be maintained as one should wash their hands through the
cooking process, and they should avoid hand contact with food as fungi from hands can be easily
transmitted to foods (Abebe, 2020). During food preparation, the team involved should be of
good hygiene and dress in clean clothes to avoid contaminating food. Also, raw food should be
separated from cooked food since the percentage of raw food is relatively high compared to
cooked food.
Lastly, to keep foods free from contamination and ensure they are safe am going to
ensure that foods that are meant to be cooked are cooked thoroughly. Raw foods should be
cleaned and stored in cool and dry areas of low temperature to avoid contamination. In addition,
for food to be safe, it should be kept in the fridge immediately to keep it free from rotting and
contaminating germs, or food should be kept in pots while hot so that it can be free from germs.
Being my birthday, I am going to choose over a well-trained team of chefs who will be kee3n
and use their knowledge they are trained to ensure both teams of children and seniors are taken
care of accordingly by preparing food that will make them comfortable all through the event.
