In the question :
You must use continuous writing (not note form) and use your own words as far as possible.
Your summary should not be more than 120 words.
Up to 10 marks are available for the content of your answer and up to 5 marks for the quality of your
writing.

R1 demonstrate understanding of explicit meanings
R2 demonstrate understanding of implicit meanings and attitudes
R5 select and use information for specific purposes
MARKS SCHEME
HOW TO WRITE A SUMMARY :
IN ROUGH : note down the 10 points. About 5 points for each part of the
question
IN ROUGH :Group or synthesis similar ideas together with similar
numbering
IN ROUGH :Underline the words /phrases which will be replaced by
synonyms
Write the paraphrase .implicit meaning for the points
Do not write an introduction
Write in a single paragraph
Start with a topic sentence which addresses the question
Use connectives like furthermore, additionally , lastly to move to the next
idea
Do not write a conclusion
Do not exceed the word limit of 120 words .Count and reframe if
required. Write the number of words used .
