CLASSIFICATION OF SP-1
How many types are available?
Two main types — Hardware SP1 and Analyzer SP1

• --Hardware SP1s: Hardware inclusion or modifications

which can be done with available material or simple hardware
integration.

• --Analyzer SP1s: Based on hardware integration, these

are turn-key analytical systems with tested performance for
specific applications.

CLASSIFICATION OF SP-1
Some examples
 Hardware SP1  Non Standard GC Options (available as SP1 options):

 GC columns: Columns not available from Agilent corporate price list, mostly packed
columns
 Multiposition valves: Currently more than 30 SP1 numbers for various multiposition
valves configurations.
 Special valves: 4 port, low leakage, high pressure valve, 1/32” openings
 Special construction materials: Special valve materials ( body and rotor), plumbing ,
loop or injection port materials e.g., Sulfinert, Nickel, Hastelloy or even Gas Blending Kit

CLASSIFICATION OF SP-1
Some examples
Analyzer SP1  60 SP1 Analyzers for Energy & Chemical Market on CPL
 Refinery Gas Analyzers (RGA): Including fast, extended and sour gas analyzers
 Natural Gas Analyzers (NGA): Including simple, extended, and sour analysis
 Transformer Oil Gas Analyzers: Including both traditional packed column and new
capillary based systems
 High Purity Gas and Monomers Analyzers: For analysis of trace impurities in inert gases,
monomers
 Reformulated Fuels Analyzers: For analysis of oxygenates and aromatics in light
petroleum liquids
 Sulfur Analyzers: Based on the FPD and SCD detector.
 Bio-diesel Analyzers : Three SP1 solutions for the most widely run industry standard
B100 methods, plus 2-D GC solution for biodiesel blends

Objective of G3445B Analyzer

Sales – order analyzer as regular product from CPL

• Be able to order easily
• Be able to get price right the way from SAP or price surfer
• Be able to track funnel and report sales order as regular products
After Sale Support – have unique identifier
• Easier to identify for special I&F consideration (e.g. WLA to schedule CE specialist)
• Enable separate PN associate to analyzer service product portfolio
Supply Chain – be more efficient
• Reduce manual configuration reviewing effort by mfg. engineers
• Better parts inventory management with standard product infrastructure
Keep the speed and flexibility of SP1s
• Still able to add new solutions quickly without full CPL cycle
• Still allow certain configuration flexibility – inlet, detectors
