UNIT 1
Instructions: Read each sentence. Then, say if the sentence is grammatically correct or
incorrect. If the sentence is incorrect, mention why and what the correct answer would
be.

It is incorrect because if you say “a few” you are mentioned that the city is not quite.

It is incorrect because when the sentences is interrogative, we use “any”.

9) How many meat are there? Incorrect.
It is incorrect because meat is an uncountable noun. So we use “much” for this noun.

10) We don’t have some bread. Incorrect.
It is incorrect because in negatives sentences we use “any” not “some”.
We don’t have any bread.
11) How many cheese do you buy? Correct
12) There aren’t a lot of tourist here. Incorrect.
It is incorrect because don’t use “a lot of “in negative sentences, just for affirmative.
There aren’t any tourist here.
13) That’s much delicious chocolate cake? Incorrect.
It is incorrect because when we have an interrogative sentence, we put the “Verb to
be” in the beginning. Is that much delicious chocolate cake?
