ICT in Today’s World

Growing up, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has always been

present in my life. When I was younger, I see my parents benefit from its usage. It was

mainly for emails, uploading photos, and editing before, but now the usefulness of ICT

has developed way beyond that. Today, I take advantage of the evolution of

technological developments. In my current situation, these technologies have been a

great help. I use different online platforms for school, it can be to communicate with my

classmates and teachers, and it can be to do my school works such as editing,

presenting, and other collaborative tools which I can utilize with my groupmates. Aside

from school purposes, I use messenger to communicate with my family and friends.

Some of them are far from me, and it's great that I get to reach out to them every time

we want.

ICT has developed and is more attainable for everyone nowadays. It has significant use

in our society such as for spreading the news, raising awareness, and other business

use. It helps our economy by making it easier to start a business and more job

opportunities are opened with the growing ICT in society. To keep up with the growing

businesses online, payment systems are now available. Wherein transactions are now

done without the use of checks or cash, just through an electronic payment system. An

example of these are paymaya, gcash, and even banks now creating mobile apps to

keep up. This has been very helpful to me and my family to settle bills without going out.

It is clear that almost everything is within our reach. The same goes for advertisement.

To grow a business, advertising is important. Various online platforms have

advertisements all over. I see it on youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and everywhere online.

It's visible how helpful ICT has become, and I cannot deny how dependent I am on

these technologies. Its reach and efficiency aid me in completing my tasks, achieving

my needs, and making things easier.
