A professional biography is a statement that could either be short or long that is written
about a person, business or company. It should be engaging, informative and interesting
for the readers to identify with the person or business entity being talked about. It has a
sales pitch that is a little bit different. A professional biography template is meant to ease

wants to reach a lot of people or institutions.
Elements that should be captured in a professional biography are:
•A summary of one’s early life in a sentence or two, make it interesting.

Liao, Kun Hung Anthony is an associate professor of Department of Visual Design


at National Kaohsiung Normal University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He teaches Design
Method, Creative thinking, Animation and Portfolio Preparation. Prior to his current
position, Anthony had been teaching as assistant professor at the Department of Visual
Communication Design at Tainan University of Applied Technology in Tainan for eight years
since 2000. Over all, Anthony has 18 years of experience in design education at university.
Anthony received his BFA degree in Advertising from Art Center College of Design in
Pasadena, California in 1995. Soon in 1998, he earned his MFA degree in Computer
Graphics, specializing in 3D Animation, from Academy of Art University in San Francisco,
California.
With exceptional language capacity in English and Chinese, Anthony was invited to be the
interpreter at several international events such as "The World Game Kaohsiung 2009" and
"Vision Get Wild Award, Kaohsiung." He was also involved in many international academic
conferences in design as interpreter to help with the communication among hosts and
visiting guests from all over the world.
Besides teaching, Anthony spent his career time in animation and advertising. While
attending Art Center, he worked as freelance storyboard artist at Chiat/Day Advertising in
Venice. In San Francisco, Anthony started his practical training at Western Digital Inc. as 3D
animator after receiving his master degree.
After graduating from National Taiwan Academy of Arts in 1984, Anthony pursued his
dream as animator at Wang's Film Taiwan (The Cuckoo's Nest), involved in the productions
of Donald Duck, Garfield, and Smurfs, to name a few. in 1987, he joined Grey Advertising
Taiwan as designer in charge of Honda Motorcycle and soon was promoted to art director.
Starting from 1989, Anthony served several accounts including Johnson&Johnson, Lux,
Rolex, RCA at J. Walter Thompson Advertising. After returning to Taiwan in 1999 from the
United States, Anthony rejoined JWT as senior art director, responsible for Ford Motor
Company Taiwan.
Anthony now lives in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan and devotes himself in design teaching and
international academic exchanges.
