NO. 199, s. 2022 Re: 2022 DIVISION SPEECH FEST

1. Please be informed of the corrections and additional guidelines for the Division Speech Fest
on November 28, 2022.

2. The venue for the DIVISION SPEECH FEST shall be at San Isidro Elementary School.

3. No additional event in the elementary and secondary level shall be contested except those
stipulated in Div. Memo No. 199, s. 2022;

4. The Junior and Senior High Schools as a group shall have seven entries per event to
compete in the division level except for Philippine and Bicol Literary Cosplay (teacher category).
While in the elementary the top 3 winners in the district level elimination shall proceed to the division
level contest.

5. Winners shall be receiving the following awards:

Individual Events: 1st Place: Certificate & Gold Medal
2nd Place: Certificate & Silver Medal
3rd Place: Certificate & Bronze Medal
Group Events: 1st Place: Certificate & 14” Trophy
2nd Place: Certificate & 12” Trophy
3rd Place: Certificate & 10” Trophy
Non-winners shall receive a Certificate of Participation

6. The registration fee of P 500.00 shall be collected per entry school instead of P200.00 per
event to the defray expenses for the contest per Division Memorandum No. 199, s. 2022.

7. Herewith are the additional guidelines for the following events:

1.For Reader’s Theater: At 7:30 am on November 28, 2022, all concerned Coaches shall
immediately proceed to the event facilitators for the drawing of lots.

2. For Jazz Chant: The time allotment for the contest is adjusted to 7-10 minutes instead of
5-7 minutes.

3. For Philippine and Bicol Literary Cosplay: The drawing of lots was done last November 4,
2022, 3-4 pm at the CID office to avoid duplication of the Literary characters to be portrayed

4. For Declamation: the contest piece is Mother, are you there? By Audreilyn A. Ulloa

5. For Speech Choir: The contest piece is Peace not War by Patricia Lithuanian

6. For Oration, Jazz Chant, Smart Talking and Spoken Word Poetry: The contest pieces
shall be submitted to the assigned facilitators one hour before the contest proper and to be
forwarded immediately to the assigned judges for prereading.

7. A conference of all district coordinators, contest facilitators and officers of the Division
English Teachers Association shall be held on November 23, 2022 at 2pm via google meet.

8. Attached are the facilitators for the different events.

9. For immediate dissemination to all concerned.

Re: Submission of the National Reading Month Celebration Report

Per Division Memorandum No. 199, 2. 2022 Par. 7, please be reminded on the submission of
the National Reading Month Report in soft and printed copies. All schools thru their districts shall
submit a 5-minute video of their celebration to the district Production Team. The district PT shall
submit the 15-minute video to the division production Team namely: Michael De La Cruz, Cindy
Filio, Anthony Vista & Analiza De Villa all from Iriga Central School in preparation for the
production of the virtual culminating activity of the 2022 National Reading Month Celebration
which shall be conducted on November 29, 2022 @ 9am via livestreaming at Deped Iriga FB page.

Deadline of submission for the 15-minute video shall be on November 24, 2022 to give way
for its preparation.

Please be guided by the above advisory.
