Standard Trip Letter
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
I am delighted to inform you of the final details of the trip to The United Nations Conference
Building in Bangkok which will take place on Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th of November.
Students will need to meet at Harrow Bangkok campus at the Clock Tower; the timings of
travel for each of the three days is set out below:
The purpose of the trip is to participate in a Model UN session in which students will take
part in discussions of various global issues in their chosen UN committees.
The provider is ISB School Bangkok who are an experienced and trusted provider that Harrow
Bangkok has worked with previously.
The cost per student is THB 12656, the invoice for it will be issued on XXth MONTH with a payment
due date of XXth MONTH 2022.
This trip will help students develop empathy and agile thinking, the courage to speak publicly and the
integrity to listen and evaluate fairly and as such, we feel this experience will be hugely beneficial to
your child.
Please complete the registration section on Evolve by Wednesday 9th November 2022.
There will be eight students attending the trip, with one Harrow Bangkok staff member and a full-time
nurse.
Contact
In an emergency, you may contact the school mobile I will be carrying on 098-517-0874. On the day
of the trip, if your child is late or unable to attend, please contact me, Mr Bannister on 098-517-0874.
Mobile Phones
If you wish your child to take a mobile phone, we will encourage them to contact you in the evening
to inform you of any changes to arrival times at Harrow Bangkok. As with regular lessons, mobiles
will be switched off at all other times and remain in their bags.
Valuables
We encourage children to leave valuable items, for example, watches, jewellery or expensive clothing
at home. Part of the skills that students develop on school trips is that of being responsible and
making decisions for themselves. Our priority is student safety, and staff cannot always be responsible
for students' belongings. Therefore, please only allow your child to take things they can be
accountable for, which will not cause too much distress if lost or damaged.
Meals are provided at the venue but students may wish to bring additional snacks, water and a small
amount of spending money.
Please may I remind you that your child should arrive at Harrow Bangkok on Thursday 10th at 6.15
am, dressed in their Harrow uniform. The bus will depart promptly at 6.30 am..
Yours sincerely,
Mr Bannister
