Philosophical Statement

As a teacher, I consider my students' differences; each learner is unique, so I must create a conducive
classroom environment in which learners can develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my
ambition to create this type of learning environment in which students can satisfy their desires while learning
eagerly. I will also provide a safe environment for my students to freely share their thoughts, feelings, or
problems in order for them to be comfortable and develop friendships among their classmates.

Classroom Rules and Procedures

1. Raise your hand to speak- To avoid noise and interrupt the class discussion.
2. Contribute to discussion- To ensure that everyone learned the lesson.
3. Maintain Your Work Ethic and Always Try Your Best -To make a positive impact
through our decisions and actions in classroom and towards others.
4. Respect your teacher and classmates- it helps promote positive culture inside the classroom.
5. Keep our classroom clean- to minimize the distractions that can take the mind of
students away from learning.
Teacher-Student Relationships
1. Quality Time with students. I will schedule a one-on-one session with my students to get to know
them better and listen to their problems whether at school or at home or/and address their needs.
2. Use positive communication techniques. As a teacher I will cultivate a soothing voice
when communicating to my students. I will also provide positive feedback for their
activities and performance and encourage them to be better and better. As a teacher
it is also important to show respect to your students and in return, they will respect
you.
3. Welcoming and friendly environment. Start a class with greetings.

Schedules and Timeframes

My class schedule will be organized based on what my co-teachers and I agreed upon. I should always
consider the perspectives of my co-workers and students. To keep my students’ attention on the task at hand,
I will make every part of my lesson interesting and interactive. I should always draw all my students’ attention,
even those in the back. I should also consider their emotions and circumstances.

Classroom Structure, Design and Arrangements

 Sitting arrangement must be alternate (boys- girls-boys-girls) to avoid noise.


 Desks should be arranged to allow students to easily interact with each other and cooperatively
complete group tasks.
 Encouraging quotes and verses must be present to motivate students.
 Bulletin boards with reminders and achievements of students to inform an
d motivate them.
 List of classroom routines and procedures and expectations must be present.
 Bookshelves and reading area must be comfortable for students.
Classroom Safety Rules and Procedures
1. Walk, do not run in the hall or stairways- To avoid accidents and injuries.
2. Keep to the right on corridors and on stairways- By walking on the right, the individual will avoid
possible head on collision with others coming from opposite directions.
3. Keep classroom aisles clear- For everyone freely move inside the classroom and
avoid accidents.
4. Don’t go to unauthorized places- There are places that intended for personnel only and not for
students.
5. Abide by school rules of proper conduct.
