2022 the operator. After the trash rake Monday 8 was fixed, we operated it to clean (8am-5pm) the CWP suction intake. ● Identification and explanation of equipment in BOP and Turbine area with the operator.
Tuesday September 20, ● We accompanied the operator on 8
2022 the Turbine area for routine inspection. (4pm-12pm)
● Conducted BEC (Basic Equipment
Care) on the motors and pumps of turbine area and checked if there is any excessive vibration on the equipment. ● Witnessed the regeneration and backwashing of CPP resins in the CPP vessel performed by the operator.
● Conduct routine inspection and
reading in turbine systems for pressures, temperatures, oil levels of equipment and valves.
● Sir Correa discussed boiler start up
system and instructed us to line trace it on the P&ID for familiarization and to better understand the system. September 21, Wednesday 2022 8 (4pm-12pm) ● Continued BEC (Basic Equipment Care) on the motors and pumps of turbine area with the operator. Monitoring of its vibration on drive end and non-drive end side of the pumps and motors.
● We also line traced the auxiliary
steam system and assisted the operator for hydrogen filling of the generator cooling system.
Thursday September 22, ● Usual routine inspection in the 8
2022 turbine and generator area with the operator and reading of pressures, (4pm-12pm) temperatures, oil levels of major and auxiliary equipment and valves.
● Assisted the operator in CTS Cleaning
of the condenser. ● Familiarization of turbine flow system and reading of manuals using flow diagrams and P&ID.
● Usual routine inspection in the
turbine and generator area with the operator and reading of pressures, temperatures, oil levels of major and auxiliary equipment and valves.
● Assisted BOP operator in conducting
BEC (Basic Equipment Care) on pumps and motors of BOP area. Monitoring of its vibration on drive September 23, end and non-drive end side of the Friday 2022 pumps and motors. 8 (4pm-12pm)
● Witnessed the regeneration and
backwashing of CPP resins in the CPP vessel performed by the operator.
● Question and answer discussion with
the operators about the turbine systems, valves, major and auxiliary equipment for data gathering and additional information.
