Gaskets are identical with the seals of DIN EN 1514-1.


The DIN EN standard does not specify precise gasket thicknesses and materials and the present company standard for
gaskets was drawn up to give these specifications.

Designation of a gasket for DN 400, nominal pressure 16, thickness S2 = 9 mm, material NBR with metal insert:

Material: NBR/metal insert

Design: Metal insert (steel ring) vulcanised into the material.


NBR with Shore hardness A 70 ±5 for the temperature range from - 25° to + 90 °C.
Viton with Shore hardness A 75 ±5 for the temperature range from - 20° to + 200 °C.
NBR and Viton edges are rounded off.
Sealing surfaces are tapered by 0.5 mm up to DN 300 and tapered by 1 mm for DN 350 and above.
