Essay 2 Reflection Questions

In Essay 1, I learned how to peer review and how to put plenty of information into an

essay accordingly. I’ve learned, in many previous classes I have taken, to look for resources and

how to review and incorporate that into my work.

What I learned in Essay 1 that did not apply to Essay 2 was how to conduct an

experiment that I will use for my work. In my past classes, many subjects were not English. For

example, Algebra and Spanish are subjects that I could not apply to Essay 2.

For this, I could apply the opinion aspect of Essay 2 to my other subjects. For example, if

I ever have a seminar in one of my classes. Other people would be giving their opinions or

statements.

In most of my other courses, I do not have to write essays, so knowing MLA format and

grammar will not help me in them.

This essay was the first time I had ever done an annotated bibliography. It helped me a

lot, and I would do it even if it were not required. As for the research analysis, it is helping me

improve my writing skills and how to navigate different topics and formats.

Most of the comments on my essay were errors here and there with the citations. My

strength in this essay was the structure and arranging the information of the essay. I think my

strengths from Essay 1 continued to Essay 2, and my weaknesses definitely improved in this

essay but still need some work.

On Essay 1 the comments I got were on some citation errors and sentence rewording. On

Essay 2 the comments that I got were mostly errors here and there not exactly the writing itself.

The comments changed from essay to essay so on the final draft of Essay 2 I think the comments

will be different.

In Essay 1, I got comments on some citation errors and sentence rewording. On Essay 2,

the comments I got mainly were errors here and there, not exactly the writing itself. The

comments changed from essay to essay, so I think the comments will be different in the final

draft of Essay 2.

The most challenging part of this essay was choosing a topic because I wanted to choose

something that I found interesting and passionate about but that many people had different

opinions on the matter. I was kind of bouncing around topics for a while. The easiest part of this

essay for me was actually the third-person point of view. Since I couldn’t input my own opinion,

it was easy to refrain from using the first-person point of view.
