- Okay so this day we will be learning about one property of multiplication that will

help us make it so easy.

- But before that, I will give some activities for you to work on. I will divide you
into 3 groups.

ACTIVITY 1

Read the problem. Answer the questions that follow. Fill it in the
blanks to complete the sentence.

Answer: There are ______ cookies in each pan.
3. Give the multiplication sentence and then solve.
Answer: _______ x _______ =

ACTIVITY 2

Read the problem carefully. Answer the questions that follow. Fill it in
the blanks to complete the sentence.

Mona’s family planned to serve some cold drinks. They

serve 9 pitchers of drinks and each pitcher can fill 6 glasses.

ANALYSIS
 Okay let us have the presentation of output. Who will do the
reporting?
 How did you find the given activity? Is it easy? Or difficult?
 Okay let us have the presentation of output. Who will do the
reporting?
 What happen to the product when factors are interchange?

 What is commutative property of multiplication?

ABSTRACTION

Commutative Property of Multiplication is changing the order of the numbers or

factors does not change the product or answer.

APPLICATION

Answer the activity.

Check the equation that uses the Commutative Property to balance the scale.

3 x 4 = 12

4x3=12 ? 2 x 6 = 12

6x10=60 ? 10 x 6 = 60

10 x 8 = 80

5 x 6 = 30

6 x 8 = 48
8x6=48 ?

5 x 5 = 25

10 x 2 = 20
2x10=20 ?
3 x 1 =3 4
1x3=3 ?
4 x 2= 8

IV. ASSESSMENT

Let the student answer the assessment in the activity sheet.

B. Complete and answer the commutative property.

1. 6x = 10 x

2. 8x =5x

3. X4 =3x

4. Complete the number sentence.

3 x 2 = 2 x ___

V. ASSIGNMENT
The teacher will introduce the assignment to the students.
Instruction: In your assignment notebook, write the missing factor and make them
commutative property.
