ANIMAL SOUNDS
The teacher will group the class into 3 and the group will have a representative to
pick in front and imitate what sound of animal they choose.
b. Motivation
 JUMBLED WORDS
The students will do the letter arrangement on the board.
c. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will choose one either
claim of fact, value or policy and explain/present it to the class.
2. Analysis
As a student and a reader, why do you need to know in identifying claim of fact,
policy and value?
3. Abstraction
Proceed to the lesson which is “Formulate claim of fact, policy, and value.
Discuss the characteristics of a good claim.
Discuss the meaning of the three claims.
4. Application
The students will answer the given statements and identify whether it is a claim of
fact, policy and value.

IV. Evaluation
Students will answer these three questions.
1. What is claim?
2. What are the characteristics of a good claim?
3. What are the different types of claim?

V. Assignment
Research an example of the following.
1. Claim of fact
2. Claim of value
3. Claim of policy
