Early‐Doc Fellowship 

 IRD Early‐Doc fellowship scheme is to support Ph.D. students after the successful completion of 
Ph.D. Viva Examination. The main objective is to support the Ph.D. Scholar for completing the 
manuscript  writing  related  to  thesis  work.  The  fellowship  will  be  given  to  full  time  Ph.D. 
students of IIT Delhi (including those getting assistantship from projects) for a maximum period 
of  3  months  w.e.f.  the  date  of  his/her  Ph.D.  Viva  with  a  monthly  fellowship  of                           
Rs. 40,000/‐ per month (including HRA). As HRA is included in the fellowship it is expected that 
student will make arrangements for accommodation outside the campus. 

Ph.D. Scholar will submit a proposal on the work to be completed or preparation of manuscripts 
to  the  Supervisor,  based  on  the  recommendations  of  the  Supervisor  and  Head  of  the                   
Academic Unit, IRD will approve the Early‐Doc Fellowship.
