Hamlet Vs. Lion King

The story Hamlet was all about the ghost of Denmark's King telling his son
Hamlet to avenge his death by killing the new king, Hamlet's uncle. Hamlet
pretends to be insane, muses on life and death, and seeks vengeance. Fearing
for his life, his uncle devises plots to hunt down and kill Hamlet. The story of
the lion king was all about the story of Simba, a young lion who is to succeed
his father, Mufasa, as King of the Pride Lands; however, after Simba's paternal
uncle Scar murders Mufasa to seize the throne, Simba is duped into believing
he is to blame and runs away into banishment. Hamlet and lion king has a
similar concept. Their father was also a king and we’re also the prince who was
worthy to inherit the throne but their selfish uncle stole the throne for himself.

Hamlet and the lion king is almost alike concept, to begin with it the main
characters in their respective stories. Both Prince Hamlet and Simba have
fathers who have been murdered by their brothers. Both are deeply affected by
their father's death; they have lost their mentor figure and are left to fend for
themselves; each of them attempts to avoid responsibility. Both Hamlet and
Mufasa are kings of their respective kingdoms who meet an untimely end when
their brother leads them to their deaths. With their deaths, the princes are
relieved of the burden of maintaining their kingdoms. Scar and Claudius are
the family's evil uncles, whom no one likes. Both persuade the princes to flee,
and Scar persuades Simba that he is responsible for his father's death and
advises him to leave. However, both uncles fail because both heirs return home
knowing of their uncles' evil deeds. Sarabi and Gertrude are the kingdom's
queens; they did not participate in the king's murder. Timon, Pumba, and
Horatio are the prince's friends who help him get out of a funk and show that
there is always a bright side to everything. The king's royal advisors are Zazu
and Polonius. They both try to help the king in ruling the kingdom and offer
advice. The prince's lovers are Nala and Ophelia. In revenge is expressed when
Hamlet's father appears to him as a ghost and tells him to "revenge me," so he
kills his uncle in order to fulfill his father's wish. This is expressed in The Lion
King when Simba sees his father's ghost in the sky telling him to return to
Pride Rock and become king, allowing him to exact revenge on his uncle for
pushing Mufasa into the stampede of wildebeest.
Simba loses his father at a young age, whereas Hamlet loses his father at a
much older age. Simba wanted to let Scar live and never return to Pride Rock,
but Scar, being Scar, used that opportunity to try and kill Simba once more,
whereas Hamlet only seeks revenge for his father's death, ensuring that
Claudius suffers for the crimes that he has committed. When Mufasa is killed,
Simba tries to escape his problems, unlike Hamlet, who pretends to be insane
and sets up cat and mouse traps to force Claudius to admit to killing his
brother. King hamlet wanted hamlet to avenge him compared to king mufasa
who just wants his son to have his part as the worthy heir of the throne
Gertrude remarried his husband’s brother but it turns out not working unlike
sarabi who only wait for his son’s arrival and refuse scar.

In conclusion, The difference in concepts is that in Hamlet's story,  almost

everyone dies at the end, which should really be called tragedy. However, in
The Lion King, we see Simba return as king, now ruling his kingdom from Pride
Rock, just like his father. Greed is shown to be the root of all evil in Hamlet, as
Claudius is killed just like his brother, who is stabbed and poisoned for
poisoning his brother. Scar's greed and morals to always be on top lead to his
downfall in The Lion King; he didn't want to run away like a coward when
Simba told him to run away and never return, but Scar, being Scar, does not
leave and tries to kill Simba again, which leads to him being killed and eaten
by the hyenas. Finally, in terms of vengeance, we see that Hamlet sacrifices
almost everything in order to appease his father's ghost, only to be left to die
slowly by being stabbed with a poisoned blade, in contrast to Simba, who now
has a kingdom to rule.
