ABSTRACT

Electronic brake force distribution (EBD) is a sort of subsystem, which adds breaking
system's functions equipped with ABS. In the case of braking, EBD is all the time
balancing effective floor braking force of every wheel before ABS action, which could
prevent whipping and swing and decrease automobile braking distance effectively. EBD
can improve and advance the efficiency of ABS.

The anti-lock braking system can improve the safety of the vehicle. As the ABS assisted
device, electronic brake force distribution can automatically regulate the braking force
distribution among the wheels of the vehicle, so that the wheels can reach the start
condition of ABS at the same time, which can make better performance on braking
distance and braking stability. Many mathematical model of the EBD system is built and
the control system based on fuzzy control is designed. The results of the simulation on
straight road show that the EBD control system is effective in the braking force
distribution control.
