 Activity Describe what the learning activity will be. What

The students will learn the four important things of
what a plant needs to grow. The students will be
introduced with a lesson by the teacher by first asking
the students if anyone can name the four important
things a plant needs to grow. Then we will watch a
video of what do plants need to grow. Next, I will ask
the students again to tell me one thing that they have
learned of what a plant needs to grow. Afterwards the
teacher will handout a paper to cut and glue of which
things a plants needs and what plants do not need.
For the at home project, the students will create a
flipbook with the help of their parent using the
Flipsnack trough the app or website.
Option 1: The at home Flipbook creation should
include the following:
1. Create a cover page: “What do plants need”
2. Create a flip book on the basic needs of what
a plant needs to grow.
3. The flipbook should have the name and
picture of what a plants needs to survive. For
example: Find a picture of a sun online or
upload your own image of a sun that you took
and on top or underneath it write “Sunlight”
and so on.
Option 2: If you do not have an access to technology
then you will create a Plants Needs Flipbook.
1. Find a blank piece of paper.
2. Fold the paper horizontally, then at the top
write the needs of a plant.
3. After that, draw a picture of the needs that
you wrote for a plant, then color.
The web 2.0 tool being used is Flipsnack. Flipsnack is
available through the website app.flipsnack.com
(Computer, laptop, online). It can be also access
through the Flipsnack app on an iPhone or iPad .
