Personal statement:
I am currently 18 years old, and I enjoy learning new skills, meeting new people and working
as a team. I would say I’m an individual who stays focused on the task to do and likes to help
to get things done. I am also finishing my second year of studying the film industry at the
Bournemouth and Poole college. I am hoping to use my college course to help me find jobs
and investigate other industry’s that interest me, the skills I’ve learnt on this course would
be how to use different software’s and computers better, also better communication skills.

Activities and interests:

In my spare time I enjoy playing piano, collecting records, going to the gym and swimming.
I’ve been playing the piano for about a year now and I have learnt to play a few different
songs and I like to learn new songs as well. Collecting records is a hobby I got into from my
grandad doing it to and I enjoy getting new records of albums/songs I like because its quite
interesting and fun to do.

Work experience:
I did work experience from the 28th February – 4th March 2022, this was at Ferndown Leisure
Centre. Within that week I was able to gain important real-life skills in the marketing region
to develop posters/ advertisements to promote different activities and current membership
deals going on in the centre. My manager gave me a list of objectives she wanted me to
develop posters for, alongside giving me access to the businesses marketing software. With
doing this I was able to develop skills on finding out what works best to catch people’s eye
and then further entice them. This help to develop my communication skills, and how to
work with a team. Within my current job role as a Lifeguard and Swim assistant, I have
gained many important skills
