G+10 RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT COMPLEX

A residential complex is a building consisting of separate residences where few people or an


individual can reside. Every residence is provided with individual cooking area and
bathrooms enclosed within the residence, these are also called as apartments or a
condominium. The apartments can be categorized differently.
Based on the Size of Apartments:
1. Studio: A one – room apartment which comes with a kitchen and a full size
bathroom
2. 1 – Bedroom Type: Apartment with a single room which is separate from living
space and kitchen
3. 2 – Bedroom Type: A full 2 room apartment with dedicated living area and
kitchen space
4. Loft Apartments: Apartments with higher ceiling walls which can be used for
setting up a temporary intermediate floor for any purpose.
5. Duplex Apartments: These are two level units where from a single residential
space connected with each other
Based on Floors of a building:
1. Low – Rise: An apartment building with 1 – 4 floors can be termed as low rise
building.
2. Mid – Rise: A building having 5 – 11 floors often with a communal elevator
3. High – Rise: Building having more than 11 floors and apartments designed
lavishly can be counted as high rise building
Major materials required in residential buildings are the same which are required for the
construction of structure or for finishing purposes. A list has been provided.

11 Stones Used for flooring or decoration purposes

The use and the quantity of materials can vary on the type of building which needs to be
constructed.
