A CLASH OF LIGHTNING
A MID-AIR DRAGON FLIGHT Encounter

Unpredictable storms disrupt life in the coastal city of
Shellington. Lightning have set ships ablaze, and fierce
gales have blown away rooftops. Though the locals
know the cause, they are too afraid to interfere - rather
understandable - since this involves two dragons.
A Young Bronze Dragon (MM pg 108) named
Clazimar calls the coasts of Shellington their
home. Reserved yet curious, Clazimar was content
observing the city from a distance. Then Digraxaf,
a brutish and scheming Young Blue Dragon (MM pg
91), crept in on Clazimar’s territory and attempted
to subjugate Shellington. Digraxaf’s aggression
pushed Clazimar to defend the people of the town,
thus igniting the rivalry.
The party arrived on a ship that nearly became
another casualty of the daily dragon fight. After
hearing the cause, they have a day to prepare before
the next clash takes place. The party may speak to
the dragons beforehand or jump right into the fray
once the fight starts.
Clazimar believes Digraxaf must be defeated in
the name of righteousness. However, Clazimar’s
chances are diminishing due to accumulated injuries.
Digraxaf, meanwhile, is willing to bribe the party
with a Ring of Shooting Stars (DMG pg 192) to either
go away, or assist in the upcoming fight. Lastly,
Shellington will reward 2,400 gold if the problem
ends, even if both dragons die.

This adventure uses Mid-air Dragon Flights - Storm
Lightning. If the GM wishes to use Lair Actions and
Regional Effects, combine the Bronze Dragon’s Lair
Actions with the Blue Dragon’s Regional Effects.
At the start of every round, roll a 1d4, then consult the
table below. All creatures, other than the dragons,
who end up on a square with lightning must roll a
Constitution saving throw (DC 14). On a failure, the
creature takes 2d10 lightning damage and is stunned
until the beginning of their turn.
