TRAINING COURSE

6 DECEMBER - 14 DECEMBER 2022

NEIHAISCHEN, LUXEMBOURG

Rethinking Mental Health:

Community Empowerment
in Youth Work
Project Description

Members of the European Parliament have called on

the Commission to put mental health at the heart of
EU policymaking. Covid's serious negative effects on
the youth sector have been defined by the Council of
Europe and the EU Commission, and ongoing studies
have shown that various social problems such as
violence, conflicts, alcohol and drug use, depression,
obesity, anxiety, and attempting suicide are slightly
increasing among young people. The urgent need
and the gap in activities in youth work led us to act
with partners to deal with youth workers' challenges
in this aspect. Our project aim is to provide tools for
youth workers to prevent young people from social
and psychological risk.

Objectives
We set our objectives for developing a set of knowledge and skills
in stress management, wellbeing, resilient and mindfulness to
motivate youth;
