INTRO.

Today we will present a virtual museum about the movie Across the
Universe. This movie tell us the history of two lovers, Jude and Lucy
beside their friends group, they are influenced by the movements
against the war and the cultural trends.
This movie tell us the history of Jude and the reminder of how he meet
Lucy in the 60’s decade when he was young. Jude is ready for take a
ship to take it to New Jersey and knows hi´s unknown father.
At the arrive in New Jersey he knows Lucy Carrigan, a young girl who
is preoccupied for their boyfriend who is part from the navy of USA.
Jude made a friendship whith the Lucy’s brother, Max, is in this part
when Jude starts to fell in love with Lucy.
Here starts the tour of the museum.

THE BEATLES

The Beatles was be a british rock band en during the 60’s until they
parting on 1972, the ban was be comfomated by John Lennon, Paul
McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
The famous rock band is a very important element of the movie, in my
opinion the movie turns around the band because most of the cultural
trends are from England.

JUDE

Jude is the principal character in the movie well the history is based in
his life and his memory, he is played by Jim Sturgess.
Every character in the movie represents a song of The Beatles. Jude
represents the song “Hey Jude” this song talks was written by Paul
McCartney to consolate the son of John Lennon after the divorce of his
parents.
Also Jude represens to John Lennon, well the history of Jude is based
in the life of John Lennon

LUCY

Lucy represents the song “Lucy In The Sky With Diamond” the song
talks about the drugs specifically LSD but John Lennon haves a
innocent reason for this song, John tell us what the son is inspired in a
friend of Julian, his son.
The most accepted version of the explication of this son gis the wild
use of drugs.

MAX

Max represents the song “Maxwell’s silver hammer” that song talk
about a medicine student who killed his victims with a silver hammer.
Some people says what the son is a situation of mad from Paul
McCartney in his adolescence.

JO-JO
Jo-jo represent the song “Come Together” the song has an endless of
references of the use of drugs and about the popular culture.

Jo-Jo is a clear reference of Jimi Hendrix then Jo-Jo has a loto f

references to Jimi like the clothing and the guitar that Jo-Jo use in the
movie.
SADIE

Sadie is a obvius reference to Janis Joplin, well Sadie her redhead and
passionate temperament, even we can watch Sadie drinking of one
bottle of Jack Daniels the famous brand of whiskey.

“Sexy Sadie” is the song that represent Sadie, the song talks about
Maharishi and the problems what they have at the India but John
Lennon names the song like “Sexy Sadie” because he dont want name
the song like Maharishi.
PRUDENCE

The character of Prudence is a reference to a real history happen at

India in 1968, where the Beatles, Mia Farrow, Donovan and more, be
studing. The sister of Mia Farrow, Prudence was secluded so she dont
let her room to join with the other students.
In this part John Lennon takes the inspiration to write the song “Dear
Prudence” the movie use the song like a reference to the resignation of
Prudence about her sexual preference.

VIETNAM WAR.

In the 60’s the riots and protest to the vietnam war, invades the streets.
In this ambient Lucy and Jude share their youth and thinking pacifist
with their friends.
The movie travel about the social reality in the decade of 60’s with the
background from the songs of the legendary rock band The Beatles
with the repulse to the war and the young movements
