USB Port Power/ Power in Sleep Mode - Standard Savings

Properties > Connectivity/Setup > USB Settings

USB Port Power

AltaLink 2.x devices will automatically wake up the device when a USB drive is inserted into a USB
port. In the past, AltaLink users needed to press the power button before inserting a USB drive into
a USB port.

Power in Sleep Mode - Standard Savings

The AltaLink 2.x Power in Sleep Mode > Standard Savings feature sustains Wi-Fi communication
and allows USB Type A (e.g. card reader) accessories to operate when the rest of the device is in
Sleep Mode. This setting can also help avoid the following issues:
Network accessibility, such as network pings and device website access.
The ability to wake up from sleep mode or wake on the submission of print jobs.
Interoperability with some managed network switches.
The Standard Savings feature helps ensure a more productive user experience for print and scan
workflows.

To adjust Power in Sleep Mode via the Embedded Web Server:

1. In the Embedded Web Server, click Properties > Connectivity > Setup.
2. In the USB Settings area, for Power in Sleep Mode, select Edit.
3. At the Power in Sleep Mode page, select Standard Savings.
4. Click Save.

NOTE: Enabling Standard Savings can cause the device to consume more power in Sleep Mode.

This setting can also be adjusted via Tools menu on the device touchscreen interface.
