• Vegetables are classified into root vegetables, fruit vegetables, and leafy vegetables.

• Leafy vegetables are suitable for hydroponics, clean, fresh and nutritious.

Indoor Smart Eco Farm

• Covers an area of only 0.3 square meters per unit, using the
indoor free space, can be placed everywhere
• The height of 1.7 meters is the aesthetic height of traditional
screen, which is easy to maintain and harvest
• Covers the area with high CO2 level (about 1,500ppm)
• 157 planting cups, production of leafy vegetable is about 8kg
/mon/unit
• LED full spectrum light strip, 1:1 analogous to sunlight; not
harmful to human eye
• Only consumes about 1.2kWh of electricity per day, lighting
system can be replaced by indoor smart eco farm, achieving
negative power consumption
• 24/7 automated lighting and irrigation system, save effort and
labour

“Three-zero & Three-zero” Eco Farm

• Zero cost of renting: Can be placed in readily available

vacant indoor spaces.

• Zero cost of air conditioning: Use existing indoor cooling

system.

• Zero cost of carbon fertilizer: Make use of CO2 trapped in

the indoor spaces which is difficult to remove.

• Zero distance between farm and table: Minimise

refrigeration, cold chain transportation and carbon
footprint.

• Zero waste from harvest to eating: Minimise vegetables’

water and nutrient loss after harvest.

• Zero use of pesticide: Enclosed, stable and controllable

indoor environment is optimal for leafy vegetables.

Sustainable Urban Agriculture

In the past 2 years, the government provided

about $100 million subsidies to 7 farms.

Taking an example of Collyer Quay Center :

The total area per floor is 9,090 square feet.

Assuming there are 15 units of Indoor Eco Farm

on each floor, the total annual production of the
35-story building is about 50 metric tons.

Ecological Value
l More than 90% of people spend more than 90% of their time in
indoor environments.

l Indoor air pollution is cumulative and long-term, with pollutants

from multiple sources which has low concentration.

l Three elements of indoor ecology: pollution source, ventilation and

purification.

l Purification device, chemical reagents, the most helpless way.

l Based on BCA and MOH, CO2 concentration should be less than

800ppm in an enclosed, windowless indoor space.

l Contributing to the ‘Low Formaldehyde Commitment Statement’ by

SG Together Alliances for Action.

l The purification effect of plant community construction is most

sustainable and effective.

l Relieve eye fatigue and mental stress.

l Improve people’s physical and mental wellbeing with increased

work efficiency.

Social Value

• Team Building
Employees can plant in groups, harvest and taste the
vegetables together, establishing a common ecological
topic while contributing to indoor environmental ESG.

• Employee Welfare
Employees can enjoy fresh, pollution-free and
pesticide-free vegetables and spices regularly.

• A Home-based Garden
Family members can plant different species in different
layers and taste the leafy vegetables together after
harvest.

Social Value
• Ecological Teaching Tools
Can combine with popular science experiments and
courses in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.
Learn and practice hydroponic planting by sowing seeds,
transplanting seedlings, harvesting vegetables and
cleaning the Indoor Smart Eco Farm.

• Elderly Paradise
Can be used in Community Centers, nursing homes. The
process from sowing to picking is easy to learn. Soilless
planting is clean and hygienic. This allows elderly to
relax and enjoy daily life, improving their physical and
mental wellbeing.

• Engagement by all
Helps to build green, sustainable indoor environment.
Contributing to achieve 30 by 30 Goal.
